The carseat is better when big sister is present. Feeding ducks and geese at Lake Reba. In the pool with. Hanging out with Crystal Grayheart. She's spicing up our lives in all kinds of ways and Andy has described her as "driven." Her primary objective? Among other adventures this week were Maryn's introduction to car seats (not pop...

The Mei Mei and Jie Jie Blog. A blog about my two beloved daughters adopted from China. Friday, August 27, 2010. On the eve of a new era. In the beginning, there was BC (Before Carlyn), followed by AC. And soon we'll enter the era to be known as AM. And what does one do on the last day of the current era? We'll be up at 3 o'clock for our 6 am flight and will eat breakfast with my nephew and niece-in-law during our 6-hour layover in Chicago. From there, Tokyo, here we come. On her first day of third grade.

She would like to celebrate with a nice game of Wii, if only Carlyn would give her the remote. Thursday, October 7, 2010. Let's not forget about Jie Jie. It's a lovely time: the sort I imagined all those years when I was waiting to be a mom. Monday, October 4, 2010. She also learned how to use a sippy cup last week after her doctor sug...

Six months and two days ago, we met sweet Maryn in a hotel room in China, and it went something like this:. The baby is cute, of course, but I think your little narrator/camera woman is even cuter! March 7, 2011 at 10:21 PM. I love it when she turned the camera around to film herself. She did a really good job! March 8, 2011 at 1:58 PM. March 16, 2011 at 10:21 PM.

The Mei Mei and Jie Jie Blog: May 2010
http://the-meimeiblog.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
The Mei Mei and Jie Jie Blog. A blog about my two beloved daughters adopted from China. Saturday, May 29, 2010. We're a family of three living in central Kentucky and waiting, and waiting, and waiting to adopt our second daughter from China. Carlyn was just over two when she decided that she wanted a baby sister. Her dad and I have enjoyed parenthood so much that, although we're no longer "spring chickens," we decided to gather our adoption paperwork once more. No, we didn't want to give up, we concluded.

The Mei Mei and Jie Jie Blog. A blog about my two beloved daughters adopted from China. Saturday, July 31, 2010. Since we don't yet have a photo of Miss Maryn on her 747 en route to America, this one will have to do. After our long flight home with baby Carlyn from Beijing via Tokyo in April, 2003, we somehow had the presence of mind to ask for a photograph with one of the pilots. Among our many hopes and wishes is that Maryn will be a good flyer like her big sister. Monday, July 26, 2010. Not only did A...

The Mei Mei and Jie Jie Blog. A blog about my two beloved daughters adopted from China. Monday, June 21, 2010. July is Just Around the Corner. Sometime in the next couple of weeks, we anticipate that our file and our daughter's file will be in the "matching" room (shown in these photos, taken by another adoptive parent) in Beijing where an employee of the agency will work his or her magic, putting us and our daughter together. We couldn't possibly be any more excited! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
