The Long Life: A little of this and that continued
http://idlong.blogspot.com/2011/09/little-of-this-and-that-continued.html
Friday, September 30, 2011. A little of this and that continued. Life continues to progress at a rapid pace. Fall is here. School and work are in full swing. And it often feels as if we are running to and fro from work, school, small group, errands, and everything else that falls in between. All too often, I fall in bed exhausted and yet still cannot sleep due to all of the thoughts and tasks still jumbling around in my head. In the midst of our busyness, we have been going over the book Radical.

The Long Life: Summer Reading List
http://idlong.blogspot.com/2013/06/summer-reading-list.html
Thursday, June 27, 2013. I struggle. I struggle with eating too many carbs. I struggle with waking up when my alarm goes off. I struggle with trusting in God's timing. I struggle with actively living my life each day for Christ. No more reading textbooks that leave me feeling like I have a Benadryl hangover, I finally have the time to read any topic of book- fiction, non-fiction, okay you get the idea. One of the books that a friend recommended to me was the book Love Does. While munching on an apple, I ...

The Long Life: Healthy Cinnamon Rolls...What?
http://idlong.blogspot.com/2013/06/healthy-cinnamon-rollswhat.html
Sunday, June 30, 2013. Healthy Cinnamon Rolls. What? I am 30 years old. Most people tell me that I am still very young. However, my metabolism wouldn't agree. Since turning 30, I have noticed a slight (or more) decline in the way my body metabolizes food- in particular.simple carbohydrates. Nevertheless, that doesn't stop me from craving cinnamon rolls. I don't know why. I don't crave chocolate or pizza or french fries. I crave cinnamon rolls. So, here it is! Prep Time: 10 minutes. Cook Time: 15 minutes.

The Long Life: Asian Mandarin Quinoa Salad
http://idlong.blogspot.com/2013/06/asian-mandarin-quinoa-salad.html
Friday, June 7, 2013. Asian Mandarin Quinoa Salad. Sherman is lying at my feet with his "sappy" (blanket) while Ivan is sitting next to me reading. It's pushing 11:30pm on a Friday night. A part of me knows that I need to stick to a strict bedtime and wake-up routine otherwise I'll be paying for it Monday morning. (Yes, I am getting old.) And yet.the other part is justifying staying up late because well, hey.it's a Friday night! Asian-Inspired Mandarin Quinoa Salad. 1 cup vegetable broth, optional. Dash ...

The Long Life: Wow...it's been awhile!
http://idlong.blogspot.com/2013/06/wowits-been-awhile.html
Sunday, June 2, 2013. So, um.yeah. It has been a couple of years since my last post. I can't believe how quickly time has gone, and how things really haven't changed that much. For that, I am actually grateful. To start my re-entry back into the blogging world, I decided to share a little youtube video that I found my husband watching and laughing out loud at. Enjoy!
