A Mountain State of Mind: April 2011
http://mountainstateofmind.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
14 months of love. This kid is a firecracker! Have I said that before? He can say baby. That is really all we have taught him. We have some flash cards and need to pull those out so he can learn a bit more. Having those signs though has really been helpful. It rained a lot this week and I am learning first hand that mud is a boys best friend. He had so much fun tromping through puddles and playing in all the mud! It was a good day. A Mountain State of Mind: December 2010
http://mountainstateofmind.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
We finally had the first snow fall of the year this past week. I loved it even though we don't reap the benefits of public school kids in Virginia. In order to have school cancelled in Kansas a major snow disaster had to happen. A few inches of snow? No big deal. Freezing rain all night and high temperatures of 10 degrees? It wasn't yellow snow.he thought it was funny feeling. Face plant in the snow. 10 Months of Love. He is so fun! He has been really comfortable walking around holding on to one of our f...

Peeing at the pool. Playing in the fountains. Like his mommy, he doesn't like getting sprayed in the face. A ball and a truck, all a boy needs. It's official. I have a real ankle biter! Look at those pearly whites! Edmund is lucky to have five uncles to love and spoil him. As they were all excited to meet Edmund, Uncle Jeremy has been super excited and seems to be an avid reader of the blog (hey Jeremy! It has taken some time, but about a week ago Uncle Jeremy came to town and finally got to meet Edmund.

I went away again. But I'm back now.until school starts at least. There is a lot to catch you up on! A lot of pictures to share too, but I'll start with these goodies I found as I finally uploaded pictures from our summer sabatical on the sun. July 4 also spans at least five days in Kansas which is why you see two different outfits and locations. We got to spend one of the shooting days with friends and the other with family. A good mix. A Mountain State of Mind: March 2011
http://mountainstateofmind.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
One of the many awesome things about being an educator are the (paid) breaks. One of the many awesome things about working at a boarding school is having long breaks, like a two week spring break! But more on that later. He loved getting low to see the small animals. This next series of pictures is awesome. So Edmund was walking down this big hill. He stumbles and catches himself as seen here. Since we didn't catch it on video we were secretly trying to get him to roll again on his own and Cory thought h...

A Mountain State of Mind: November 2011
http://mountainstateofmind.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Blog posts will be coming. They will most likely be more pictures than words and will be in no particular order. First one: Thanksgiving 2011. This is the first time we have hosted a Thanksgiving and it was super. The day started with me doing the local Turkey Trot and running my first under 30 minute 5k since high school. It was super fun though I did skip the table mid-run offering mimosas. The other major bonus was heading down toward "Little Italy". Cory and Edmund shared this giant bowl of ice c...

A Mountain State of Mind: Absence Ends.
http://mountainstateofmind.blogspot.com/2011/07/absence-ends.html
Sorry blog world. I went on a blogcation. An intense blogcation. A lot has happened since my pre-mothers day post. For example, Mothers Day and Fathers Day! Mothers Day was just me and Edmund (Daddy went whitewater rafting in West Virginia that day). We had a blast. Edmund took mommy shopping for new clothes! A lot has happened since Pre-Mothers Day. Here is a little run-down. Blue Ridge Graduation was a glorious experience as it meant that our well earned summer vacation was beginning. I was raised in K...

A Post On Old Things. I have all these pictures looming on my computer that I have been planning to post and just have not been able to yet. While this still may not be the best use of my current time I am going to do it anyways. Once I get these pictures and stories up then you get to hear about better and more recent stories. Puppies can fly too. Not my gumdrop buttons! Yep, thats Fiona and the Gingerbread man.I guess they dress up every year for the kids. We are at the beach! We are in sunny Florida!
