As children, my sisters Anne and Lynne and I had spent the summer holidays with our Dad and Mum at Long Jetty. Then, at Christmas in 1955, Dad announced that we would be going somewhere else for summer – to Austinmer! I need not have worried. BUYING THE COAST HOUSE.
