Monday, July 24, 2006. My baby niece Sophia! Since the only people who read my blog are my family and all have Ken's blog at hand, I won't go into announcements. I will say though that I LOVE her. a lot! A little break and then all trudged back around the long circle towards the giraffes. We met hippos on the way which were very interesting to watch. I think that is an animal that I haven't gotten much close-up exposure to in my life. but they are really beautiful! I love you David. Tuesday, July 18, 2006.

Tuesday, September 05, 2006. Okay, okay. here's the scoop. David's friend Chris really wanted us to go up to his dad's house in the Upper Peninsula. (Newberry to be exact) I was so dead set against it, one of my biggest reasons being that it was a 6 hour trip one way. 6 hours one way is a long trip just for a weekend WITH a toddler, pl. Us the only people there were going to be Chris and his dad. YIPEE! That was a sarcastic yipee) David totally agreed with me and for 2 weeks we told Chris "NO!

I have some Grant drawings that I want to get scanned in a little later, but for now I'll post about our new apartment. We get to move in starting the second half of April and I think that our last day at this apartment is May 1. The doctors say I can go back to Sicily to finish out the school year so on May 8 we will be boarding an airplane to go "home." I have truly missed that place, the countryside, the towns and villages, the wonderful Italian friends, the American friends from the base. I am really getting excited.
