Is it summer yet?: Spring Break 2015: Gatlinburg, TN!
http://mkotraba.blogspot.com/2015/06/spring-break-2015-gatlinburg-tn.html
Is it summer yet? Sunday, June 21, 2015. Spring Break 2015: Gatlinburg, TN! We decided to rent a bigger car. Eric hates car rides. Or drives. And Gatlinburg was going to be the longest trip we drove as a family. I planned on us stopping about 6 hours in, so that he wouldn't have a melt down, but figured more space=happier family! Plus, this Ford Escape had one of those HUGE sunroofs! We got on the road! It was a little A-frame, with a deck around the whole thing, that sat up in the trees! This doesn't lo...

Is it summer yet? Monday, October 20, 2014. A Perfect Fall Weekend. It has been a very rainy fall, so we took advantage of some beautiful, perfect fall days this weekend. We started with an apple picking trip at Eckert's and then spent Sunday at the Pumpkin Patch! It is as if these blue skies were MADE for photo opportunities. Seriously, this field? We were leaving Eckert's and noticed this field of pink flowers. We decided to do a tiny bit of trespassing, and I am so glad we did! 10 cents a word.

http://mkotraba.blogspot.com/2014/12/breakfast-with-santa.html
Is it summer yet? Sunday, December 7, 2014. We didn't do Breakfast with Santa last year at Eckerts.and I'm not really sure why! It is a GREAT time! The breakfast is awesome (family style, with fried biscuits, cereal, funnel cakes, biscuits and gravy, a whole basket of meat- crispy bacon and sausage- eggs and crunchy fried potatoes! My belly got FULL! Max wouldn't even look at or acknowledge Santa. He was so shy. Sam, on the other hand, had a full blown conversation. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Is it summer yet?: July 2014
http://mkotraba.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Is it summer yet? Thursday, July 31, 2014. Happy Birthday to My SEVEN year old! I cannot believe you are seven. You have officially turned into a little boy. Your face has finally lost all of its baby. There are two HUGE teeth in the front of your mouth. There are freckles and boy sweat. Yeah, your mustache is the same, but the baby is gone. You love pasta, chicken nuggets, pizza, snow cones, and you've recently discovered salsa. You still get up at the crack of dawn and stay up as late as we let you...

Is it summer yet?: September 2013
http://mkotraba.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Is it summer yet? Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Troothfully, this is exciting. I guess you can tell what's been happening around here. Sam had a jiggly tooth. It wasn't super jiggly, but it got me thinking that maybe I was going to have to pull some Dad-like skills of snatching teeth out of heads out of a bag. I was terrified. I could imagine the sound of the flesh ripping. I imagined long bloody strings of skin. It horrified me. Thankfully my guardian angel came through. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Is it summer yet? Tuesday, September 2, 2014. I've been suffering from what I assume are panic attacks. A sharp pressure in my chest. A wetness in my eyes. I attribute it to Max going to preschool. My babies are grown. And it makes me sad. And stressed. My babies are grown. Every nite at dinner we ask each other, "what was the best part of your day? And "what was the worst part of your day? It is a great way to talk about the ups and downs of life. Max's answers were always the same. Best part? Oh, well&...

Is it summer yet? Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Spring Break 2014: Day 2. Today we started with a morning trip to the Donut Drive-In. Max was really excited. He picked out SEVERAL varieties. In the end, I got one for Eric, one for me, and somehow managed to spend over $10 on donuts. He was singing and dancing. I attributed it to the massive sugar rush. Eric wanted you to see these turtles doin' it. Enjoy. Sam got brave and held a bull snake. Eric, on the other hand, was not brave (see below). This winter has ...

Is it summer yet? Sunday, August 10, 2014. Sam's 7th Brithday Wrap-Up. Well, in the tradition of Aunt Kimmy, my boys certainly celebrate their life when their day comes around. This year was no different for Sam. It started the day before his birthday with a trip to get sno-cones! There is a stand on Telegraph Road, called Shivers, that is our go-to. The owner is so nice. So nice, in fact, that she let the boys make their own sno-cones since it was. She also hooked them up with some free Pop Rocks! There...

Is it summer yet? Sunday, February 16, 2014. Max's Bikini Bottom Breakfast for Dinner Party. When deciding on Max's birthday, I realized that the only meal he really eats is breakfast. And he barely eats breakfast. So I decided we would do breakfast for dinner. I asked what kind of party he wanted and he said Spongbob, of course. So, the theme was set. Great Gramma agreed to host, which was great since we were celebrating on HER actual birthday! Nothing like a double birthday! Get it, Pleggton? Happy 3rd...
