The Culinary Guide... The Essential Online Food & Drink Guide
From London’s celebrated Brick Lane – with all the attendant hassle – to the quiet of Edinburgh’s St Mary’s Street in three days. The difference is marked. Vinyasa was streets ahead in sophistication, style and service. And yes, Brick Lane and Vinyasa are both worth visiting. The new Edinburgh restaurant is ideally placed just off Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile. Ducks Restaurant at Kilspindie House Hotel. A Nightingale Sang, and it’d Make Anyone Whistle. A certain snobbishness exists among foodies with r...

The Culinary Gypsy Hits the Road
The Culinary Gypsy Hits the Road. On the Road Again.Just can't wait to get on the road again. DAY 72 August 4, 2009. I started my day off by heading into Wilmington, DE. There were numerous brick two story townhouses. I found many of the street signs missing (were they ever there to begin with? Going into southern Pennsylvania from Delaware results in an extreme change of scenery! It is absolutely gorgeous-just like the postcards show. I can't show you pictures because I was on two lane roads with ab...
Everything Food...
Saturday, January 11, 2014. Recipe: French Onion Soup. So you open your fridge, and theres some fruit, a couple slices of cheese, a couple onions, maybe some milk, some lettuce, and about 76 different sauces. Its practically empty, just like your poor stomach. Well I found your solution, French Onion Soup, sounds very complicated and intimidating, but its actually quite simple and is composed mostly of things you probably already have lying around the house! 4 Large Onions, Sliced thinly. Place soup bowl...

The Culinary Incubator - Home
This fall we finally listened to your appeals and are thrilled to announce the launch of our gourmet dining Salon, The Culinary Incubator. It’s our lovechild through and through. BUT FIRST, COFFEE. Quietly tucked in at the backside of Pelaspas Dharmawangsa,. Here comes BUT FIRST COFFEE. The name is very straightforward, nothing pretentious. Just like the design of the coffee shop itself. With a lot of wooden element, giving it a rustic vibe. Every cup here is fondly made by Ignasius Tommy. A fan of his work for these cups. Photogenic spots everywhere you turn. From the table above, you can sit calmly while your coffee is being brewed. On the pic: Where the magic happens. Just tri...
The Culinary Journey | the intersection of food, culture and travel
The intersection of food, culture and travel. A cuisine centuries in the making. The Mongrel with an Artisan’s Heart. Be it the best food truck, farm-to-table restaurant, or neighborhood tacqueria, San Franciscans are fiercely opinionated about where to find “the best .” An no wonder, there is good food everywhere, and everyone — startup hipsters, Chinese grandmas, urban families — is happily preoccupied with…. An unbroken imperial legacy, a swirl of ethnicity, rivers, rainforests and the sea. Roman’s kn...

The Culinary Journey | …..made simple
July 19, 2015. Sundays are usually the days I like to prepare some special dish (well… not all Sundays though….haha). Today I prepared a very simple yet delicious recipe. I used lime as the main flavor imparting ingredient for this dish. The dish takes only about half an hour to prepare. So you won’t miss out on your favorite Sunday movies, and yet be able to prepare a lovely meal for your family. It’s summer and a tangy flavor is something I prefer during this season. Do you? Chicken – around 800 g.
The Culinary Jumble | Homemade Deliciousness from Scratch
Homemade Deliciousness from Scratch. August 12, 2015. August 12, 2015. This delightfully creamy dessert is the perfect end to any meal. Even better is that it uses wholemeal flour (which could even be substituted for a GF option), and is a much lighter version with reduced sugar and less fat. Top it with anything you fancy – a sprinkling of coconut goes really nicely! 100g wholemeal (or any GF) flour. 40g brown cane sugar. 60g dark chocolate (melted). 100ml coconut milk (or cream). August 7, 2015. These ...
