This Fall (or when the humidity dries up). Brush in woods cut back again. Coreopsis in the front bed moved back from the sidewalk. Rose removed from patio trellis. So far these are safe.

Gardening among wildlife in Virginia. Wednesday, October 15, 2008. It's the 15th which means its another Garden Bloggers Bloom Day sponsored by Carol at May Dreams Gardens. This is only the 2nd one I've participated in; I feel a little self-conscious since I have so little to bloom. I'm reminding myself though of my original blogging intention: to create a garden record and what better way to do that then monthly pictures of what's blooming! I agree, I wouldn't eat those seeds without a lot of research.

The Dad I Had. Life with Lewy Body Dementia. That’s me and my dad. This picture was taken 35 years ago in the backyard of the house I grew up in. It is one of my favorite pictures because it reminds me of the dad I grew up with. This blog is dedicated to my dad, the man who always loved and supported me. The last 5 years have been a true struggle for this kind and gentle man. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 5 years ago and has been living with Lewy Body Dementia for the last few years.
