Mostly Up: January 2009

http://mostlyup.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

The artistic pursuit of happiness. Saturday, January 31, 2009. We got the house! But I am looking forward to the result. Here's to our first evening sitting on the balcony, sipping something cold and admiring the seascape! Posted by Sara Bowen. The main things which seem to me important on their own account, and not merely as means to other things, are knowledge, art, instinctive happiness, and relations of friendship or affection". low fired: July 2012

http://lowfired.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Thursday, 26 July 2012. End of Year Show. End of year show looked fantastic - we scrubbed the rooms up well and with a fresh lick of paint and some new boards they looked like proper exhibition spaces. I think our year was a talented bunch and it was really good to see the culmination of everyones two years. Annoyingly I did not take a camera but grabbed a couple of pics of Jasons facebook page at http:/ www.facebook.com/media/set/? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. O Luxo do Lixo.

Below, book interventions - adding by taking away. Wednesday, 14 September 2011. Researching Eva Hesse on the suggestion of a friend who saw images of the ceramics posted the other day. low fired: July 2011

http://lowfired.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

Saturday, 30 July 2011. Just back from a bit of a break - some photos of amazing tiles to add here soon - and I actually have a commission. Unfortunately I plug my old kiln in for fist time since it was moved in January and it is broken. The commission is for a small sculpture for a wedding present. I am going to send an email to the customer with a couple of alternative pieces that I have in stock and hope either they are of interest or they dont mind waiting a bit. Friday, 8 July 2011. low fired: final glaze tests

http://lowfired.blogspot.com/2012/04/final-glaze-tests.html

Friday, 20 April 2012. Last batch if glaze tests came out of the kiln today. Lots of work to do on the colours and what forms they fit (I tried the tan and the green on some deep bowls - the tan looked awful but the green great). I used slip casts from a squash bottle lid found on the beach for the tests, each colour was single and double dipped;. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. low fired: January 2012

http://lowfired.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 17 January 2012. College time has run out for the bulb project for now but there are some ideas I will play around with in the future - especially a way of turning the bone china bulbs into small lamps. Neon tubing - could led trips and ceramic tubes create a similar effect? And playing around with lighting and looking at the amount of lit signage in Brighton has got me thinking about making bone china ceramic neon text. is it possible? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). low fired: pulling it together

http://lowfired.blogspot.com/2012/05/pulling-it-together.html

Wednesday, 16 May 2012. Last few weeks of project, trying to tie up loose ends. Firstly the bin/print piece. Still not sure about this one but might suggest having it in the corner of the gallery and see how many people add their litter to it. The concept is strong but the execution not so good - think its the rough quality of my bin that is really letting it down. A belgian margarine tub from the beach by Black Rock. A polystyrene coffee cup from The Level. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

low fired: display ideas

http://lowfired.blogspot.com/2012/05/display-ideas.html

Thursday, 3 May 2012. After waiting two weeks for enough sun (this is West Dorset.), it finally came out for two hours on Wednesday and I quickly made cyanotype print maps of Brighton covering the routes I walked when looking for litter. Prints scrunched and ready to throw in the bin. Put the three together. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Tyler School of Art Fibers and Material Studies. O Luxo do Lixo. low fired: last casts

http://lowfired.blogspot.com/2012/04/last-casts.html

Sunday, 22 April 2012. Last batch of litter casts in porcelain, glazed in stoneware clear with an iron oxide rim. Waiting to go in kiln the matt chalky surface of the unfired glaze looks good - must try out a bright white matt glaze at some point;. Fresh from kiln, happily sucessful. All the tests seem to have paid off and I have just the right amount of run from the rim. Rushing back to Brighton so only a quick snap, will photo property soon. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Good, the Bad... and Everything in Between

The Good, the Bad. and Everything in Between. I’m not a drama queen, just a dramatic princess. I’m a Texas girl with strong conservative beliefs and romantic ideals. Most of the time, my story takes place in Atlanta, Georgia: the good, the bad and everything in between. I'm back, just not here. When I feel the need or need to break from 8th quarter, I'll be blogging on our wedding blog at www.mywedding.com/belshaharris. Oh, did I mention we're engaged? Yep, read all about it! April 11, 2012. Just like riding a cappuccino through a time machine. A few days ago I made my first cappuccino in nearly five years. For those who haven’t worked in the coffee industry, the cappuccino is really the only drink at a cafe which takes time to learn and skill to perfect. The ability to control the consistency of milk foam is an art. After five years, I still have it. However, I admit I’m a bit rusty. April 4, 2012. I come bearing cobbler! April 4, 2012. Dsa for personal loan. Penis in hand from Nick. This one is classic style, but still somehow struck him as transcendental. I see it…. if a dick is in the ear does it make a sound? I know I would, and I would say, “get your dick out of my ear asshole! I have heard that the owner of this garage must also be a dick because he has painted over this a few times already and people keep spraying up his door! You’d think with big sloppy titties they’re be a dick involved somewhere. An olympic double dong!

April 28, 2010 · 1:39 pm. With so many coaches going with so many rookie midfielders this year, it seems relevant to consider who the downgrade targets are for later in the season. There have been so many youngsters played in the first five rounds, that it’s starting to look very thin indeed. Ben Howlett – $77,800. Koby Stevens – $89,500. Sam Blease – $94,500. Jordan Gysberts – $117,500. Mitchell Banner – $129,300. Gary Rohan – $137,500. Luke Shuey – $140,100. Ben Cunnington – $141,500. From this morning...
