SOUTHERNdrawlELN: Fried Corn in a Cool Whip Container
http://southerndrawleln.blogspot.com/2010/06/years-ago-in-tupelo-we-were-having.html
Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Fried Corn in a Cool Whip Container. Years ago in Tupelo, we were having a Going Away party for my fabulous friend, Sally, who was moving to Nashville. We all gathered at Vanelli's and were tickled to have some great entertainment, a still up-and-coming local singer, Paul Thorn. Equally tickling was that he played a great bluesy version of "Mustang Sally" for our honoree. One of his original songs, however, caught my ear with the lines. Now, when I got ready to leave. Addicted to t...

SOUTHERNdrawlELN: Brows Don't Lie
http://southerndrawleln.blogspot.com/2010/06/its-so-hard-to-recall-exactly-when-but.html
Wednesday, June 2, 2010. It’s so hard to recall exactly when, but I believe that junior high was about the time my hair betrayed me. Not one who easily embraces change, when my heretofore tow headed nest began having darker roots, I was not happy. Don’t get me wrong—it’s not that I think blondes really do have more fun. Or live some magical fair-haired life. Champagne and caviar… dancing til dawn… it’s all true! Thinking… thinking… surely, there is a positive point). Finally, I would be taken seriously!

SOUTHERNdrawlELN: And Away We Go!
http://southerndrawleln.blogspot.com/2010/05/and-away-we-go.html
Wednesday, May 26, 2010. And Away We Go! What a strange feeling this is. I can think of a million things to share as my. Ta Da! Well, today is now officially May 26, the date that we lost her in 2006. In some ways it feels so much longer than four years and in others, just like yesterday. I remember being in complete fear of that day for oh so long because I had never before awakened (. Or as Mimi said, "waked up"). Without her. Would I be the same person? Would I ever laugh again? Werent you in the Cow ...

Southern Faces, Southern Places: May 2010

Saturday, May 29, 2010. Nitta Yuma, Mississippi Firetrucks. There's some kinda story behind the items of the pictures I take. A history that I may never know. For example, what fires were fought with this old Ford firetruck? Who were the men that knew how to run it? As I walked around this truck, I imagined the old timers that jumped in responding to the old barns on fire. How did they find out there was a fire? What kind of sound did the siren make? Monday, May 24, 2010. Then came a beautiful sunrise!

Cowlick Nation: Viral Meningitis
http://cowlicknation.blogspot.com/2013/11/viral-meningitis.html
Touched by God's moo cow. Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Yep, it was Viral Meningitis! Hyde never gets sick. But when he does, he gets really sick! For instance, the last time he was sick was June of 2012 and he was in the hospital for 5 days for the removal of his gallbladder. Just like when his gallbladder quit, Hyde did not have the typical symptoms of viral meningitis-no fever, etc. Lee and Hyde Carby. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Lee and Hyde Carby. http://blog.gritsphotography.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 15, 2011. This past Saturday Marty Kittrell. And I went on one of the longest photo excursions we've done in quite a while. It was such a beautiful day! Here are some delta fishermen that were fishing on the side of the road down highway 465. This young man had a smile that I'll never forget. Such a sweet spirit and loved telling me about the one that got away! The sombrero made this gentleman a true character! Thanks guys for letting me spend some time with you guys! Tuesday, August 24, 2010. Port Gibson, Mississippi - Southern Photography. Well take a look at this picture taken this past Saturday in Port Gibson's Lake Hamilton. Here is a lake full of despair, yet this flower decided to be different. This flower lives in the same circumstances that all the other flowers live in, yet it is full of life and reaching for the sky! Thursday, August 12, 2010.
