The Desert Diaries

A collection of randomness from those that live, raft, climb, bike, hike and work in Moab, Utah. Monday, November 1, 2010. Utah rafting. Leave it to the pros? The Desert Diaries: December 2008

http://thedesertdiaries.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

A collection of randomness from those that live, raft, climb, bike, hike and work in Moab, Utah. Tuesday, December 2, 2008. Utah Rock Climbing, it won't snow I'm going climbing. I had the pleasure of seeing these climbers on Little Cottonwood Canyon's Coffin Crack, 5.9 while driving down from Alta yesterday. Winter is holding off so folks are getting out and climbing in the sun. Monday, December 1, 2008. December 1st. That was a quick month or so. Why so much about skiing? Off the the mountains.

The Desert Diaries: January 2010

http://thedesertdiaries.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

A collection of randomness from those that live, raft, climb, bike, hike and work in Moab, Utah. Monday, January 11, 2010. Happy Moab Rafting. Excellant Moab Video. That was what I call a breather. 8/15/09, the last blog post that was written. Since then we've put the lid on our best season ever, rafted the Grand Canyon, hosted another AMGA. Course, done some traveling and been skiing and Ice Climbing. 2010 and there's plenty of rafting, climbing and canyoneering. As of 1/1/10 snow pack.

A collection of randomness from those that live, raft, climb, bike, hike and work in Moab, Utah. Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Hiking Arches National Park, The Fiery Furnace. Here's some good news. The NPS has begun offering online reservations for the Fiery Furnace hike. One of the best ranger led activities I have ever done. No one better to see this magnificent area with than a NPS ranger. The ranger I went with was studying the Fiery Furnace for a PHD. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

http://thedesertdiaries.blogspot.com/2009/07/summer-09.html

A collection of randomness from those that live, raft, climb, bike, hike and work in Moab, Utah. Saturday, July 11, 2009. Well that sure was a quick 2 months. A blur of rafting, climbing and canyoneering with people from all over the world. What a season we and Moab have been having. I just want to take 2 seconds to say, thanks to those that have shared an adventure with us so far in 2009 and come on down to those who are thinking about it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Climbing House » Where Climbers Live. May 18, 2015. This year is no different. With a modest turnout of 35 people here are the best stories from this year. Are we in Cripple Creek AGAIN! A crew of 5 impossibly stuffed into a Subaru sized vehicle with gear piled up to their noses arrived a day later than expected but none the less excited to have finally arrived after a long night of uncertainty. Here is their story written by Elsa Parr:. Apparently it’s not cool to pee on the side of the street in ...

The route itself wasn’t too physically difficult, but as I got higher off the basketball court at the University of Nebraska, I could. Climbing House » Where Climbers Live. A Visit From Chris Sharma. May 28, 2012. Posted in Book Shelf. What do Chris Sharma and Edward Whymper have in common? They are both climbers who have pushed boundaries and made ascents previously believed to be “impossible.” In the process they changed our perception of human limitations. So why have you never heard of Edward Whymper? Chris Sharma taking questions from the audience in Emeryville. The price for success was failure. By the way, despite attempts by som...
