I haven't given up. I did most of my 25 laps without stopping, but I soon grew weary of slaloming in and out of spread eagled toddlers trying to regain their balance and trying to keep myslef from clocking adolescent boys who kept speeding past me. Some of you may be asking yourself, and if you're not, I certainly am, why now, old lady, why now? I'm not sure why, after all of these years, I am finally moving forward to fulfilling my life-long dream of trying out for the roller derby. I just think it's the right thing. So the why now isn't an issue for me.
