Tuesday, August 23, 2011. Yesterday we had the joy of celebrating Samuel's birthday with him for the first time! It was so much fun. In the time he's been home with us, he's watched all of his siblings have a birthday, so he knew what was coming and he was pretty excited about it. Layla enjoyed her cupcake too :).

There hasn't been much to report. But that changed last Thursday morning! We woke up Thursday morning to an e-mail from our orphanage that included a referral for TWO adorable children! We are going to be a family of SIX! We could not be more excited! I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you." John 14:18.

He is such a joy to our family and it was great to celebrate His life and God's goodness to us in letting him be part of our family. We are so thankful for him! Wednesday, September 2, 2009. A walk in the woods. One of the fun finds was that the man made trails didn't just stop at the edge of the bluff. They actual went away from the edge, towards more trees and small fields of wildflowers. And the best part was having the bluff all to myself. Thursday, December 10, 2009. I saw my Grandparents today for the first time in years.with my Grandpa around 20 years, and my Grandma around 10 years.
