Saturday, February 14, 2009. Nate before the race.he was very happy today and full of smiles. Josh before the race.not quite as happy as Nate, but they were both good today. Emily and Bailey running around in a blur before the start of the race. We were a little too early and they were starting to get bored. This is the crowd of 2nd grade parents and kids as the 2nd graders were called to line up. There were tons of people there. Emily in action as she approaches the finish line. Way to go Emily!

Saturday, January 10, 2009. We had a wonderful Christmas season with marshall's parents here to visit for 2 weeks. We travelled all over the UK. We went to the lake District -which is absolutely gorgeous - even in the dead of winter, and Scotland (see castle photos above), and the coast, and tons more! It was a wonderful and busy trip. After we took them back to the airport on New Year's Eve day- we headed home and like party poopers- went to bed at 9:30 pm. We were tuckered out from all the fun!

Thursday, December 4, 2008. Beginning to look a lot like Christmas. It's that time of year again. The day after Thanksgiving we got out the tree and nativity and put up all the decor. We also got out the Christmas music and movies. I later found out Marshall had been sneaking and listening to Christmas tunes when I was not around- the tradition is to get them out the day after Thanksgiving - but Marshall started early this year :). UmmmI' m sorry, who gave you permission to do that already?

Last week Marshall re-enlisted in the US Air Force for the last time (since he retires in 2.5 years) This was the coolest re-enlistment ever. It is normally held in a conference room with a flag, but Marshall got special permission and did a slew of paperwork to be re-enlisted on the wing of a fighter jet. Too fun! Wednesday, February 10, 2010. For awhile now Luke has been wearing big boy underwear around the house at night, and doing a pretty good job with it. Last Thursday his teachers at school thought he was ready to go full on at school, so we sent them in, along with 5 changes of clothes. He did pretty good Friday and Monday, with two accidents both days, and then yesterday he was accident free all day! Last weekend I worked my first competition of the season and so it began! John is uber busy at work too!
