I'm glad we aren't going back for Christmas mostly because I can't wait any longer. Also because November offers both KU football AND basketball! I know the football team is a bit over par this year, but still. A game is a game and I'm going to enjoy myself this weekend, win or lose! I promise we are also excited to see our family and friends! Life in the Cayman Islands: Cliffs and Caving in Cayman Brac
http://caymanpodany.blogspot.com/2011/06/cliffs-and-caving-in-cayman-brac.html
Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Cliffs and Caving in Cayman Brac. Last weekend we took advantage of the Queen's Birthday holiday and went to Cayman Brac for the long weekend. This trip has been in the works since January and was planned by our good friends Alanna and James. Cayman Brac is a bit different than Grand Cayman. It has a large bluff going through the center of the island. This allows for some great caves that have been carved out by the wind and water over the years. And now a photo from the West end ...

Tuesday, June 14, 2011. This is a story that proves that when you bring a history nut with you on vacation, you never know what you may find. It turns out the boat is on Cayman Brac! Here is a photo of the boat today:. For the full story. Here is our "history nut" with the Electron. Thanks James for telling us this interesting story, I can't believe the Brac doesn't take advantage of such a great tale! Cliffs and Caving in Cayman Brac. It turns out that modern working lighthouses aren't as exciting as th...

Tuesday, January 3, 2012. This year we spent the first weekend of our Christmas vacation in Boston. We always have talked about taking a mini-trip on our way home to Kansas and this year we finally did. It was our Christmas gift to each other and we had a wonderful time enjoying it! Above is a photo of the Christmas Tree at Quincy Market. Bob didn't believe it was real until I made him get up close to it. Overall we had a wonderful time in Boston. Our hotel was fantastic and the weather was cold but ...

Life in the Cayman Islands: September 2010
http://caymanpodany.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 30, 2010. Here is the issue: I live in Cayman. In Cayman, I'm lucky to find produce that will last more than 2 days, regardless of the status. I frequently get home from the store only to realize that some of the food I bought has expired. In Cayman, when food is "on special" that means it is already a day off. Our local section? Don't get me started. I feel I should contribute to the foodie community and offer my suggestion of this cookbook:. And yes, it was as delicious as it looks&...

Http:/ www.compasscayman.com/caycompass/2011/06/27/KPMG2-waltzed-past-Grizz-s/. I know you may be surprised that I am playing a sport, but it has been lots of fun so far learning a new game. I may not be the best player but I'm trying! July 7, 2011 at 8:05 PM. Please post a video of your sweet rugby moves. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The life of J.

Life in the Cayman Islands: December 2010
http://caymanpodany.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 25, 2010. Merry Christmas from the Cayman Islands! We hope you all have a safe and wonderful holiday! Saturday, December 18, 2010. In Wichita Bob and I were able to do something we can't do in Cayman - drink interesting beers. We miss breweries and microbrews; going to the store and having the option of buying a new, well crafted, beers. I was pleasantly surprised to see that one of my favorite beers from Free State in Lawrence has started bottling! Bob is pretending to be excited.

Life in the Cayman Islands: August 2010
http://caymanpodany.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 16, 2010. Going for the BIG ones. Iguanas are still #1 on Siena's "Most Wanted" list. She spends most of her day watching and waiting for them. Here she is sitting, staring out our back window. Today Siena captured a larger iguana near our place, so I had a chance to run inside and grab my camera. The iguana was just small enough that she felt okay picking it up with her mouth. Usually she just corners the big ones until she gets bored or they run away. Tuesday, August 3, 2010. The tuna wa...
