To Ukraine and Back Again. Follow our adoption journey. January 11, 2014. September 27, 2013. We had a lazy start to our morning, went to the bookstore, then out for lunch. After lunch we took in the movie Pl.anes. Funny thing happened as we neared the climax of the movie… the power went out. The small crowd in the theater sat there, wondering what we should do before an employee came in to say the power was out in the building (Yeah, we noticed! First Day of School. October 7 – Received Canadian Visa. October 3 – Embassy appointment – documents submitted. September 28 – Documents to translation bureau to translate for immigration. September 27 – Gotcha Day – picked up M, birth certificate, and passport before heading back to Kiev. The 10 day wait begins tomorrow…. Started paperwork to make it official.
