In total an amazing 73 Chiffchaff were caught in the PC World drain, Poole, of which 68 were new (incl tristis), 4 were re-trapped from previous visits and 1 was a control . 31 Oct 14 - You Can Never Have Enough Yellow-browed Warblers At Studland. A quick initial view as it emerged to the pishing. It quickly got bored and turned away. Yellow-browed Warbler: A final flash of its wingbars as it waved goodbye and it was gone. I had a quick look around to try and find the other one. No joy, but a tight flock of 3 Firecrests all quietly calling to each other was nice. Then I too had to head off to more mundane tasks for the rest of the day. 28 June 15 - Birding The Pirate Beach. After a great boat trip watching the Brown Fish Owl. There was time for a quick look around the edges of the Green Canyon reservoir. This is one of the Eastern subspecies known as Steppe Buzzard. We stopped briefly at the bridge just below the dam where there were a group of Red-rumped Swallows flying around. Looking towards the dam. The river just below the dam. Not the best of photos, but it is a Photo Tick. This was one of about ten boats just off the beach.

I am torn by my feelings of obligation and responsibility and the fear that my life will end before I have ever even lived.
