Adventures in Loom Knitting. Do Drop in at the Dew Drop….Shawl? April 27, 2015. April 28, 2015. Last week one of my loom knitting heroines, Kristen Mangus of GoodKnit Kisses. Was kind enough to promote this fledgling little blog on her own blog. I thought I would thank her by way of a post featuring one of her patterns that I absolutely LOVE – the Dew Drop Shawl. I used Noro (surprise, surprise! Ever again but I had my doubts that my hands knew how to do anything else after so much repetition. Turns ...

Loom Knit Hoxey Cowl | Adventures in Loom Knitting

Adventures in Loom Knitting. Loom Knit Hoxey Cowl. January 25, 2016. January 30, 2016. Ever since the Winter issue of Interweave Knits. Came out I’ve been itching to make the Hoxey Cowl by Meghan Huber. I knew right away it would be a good candidate for converting to the loom. In fact, there really wasn’t anything to convert. The Hoxey Cowl is knit in the round so for us loom knitters that means we don’t have to do anything in order to make the pattern work. Hooray! For the loom I chose the All-n-One.

Adventures in Loom Knitting. And away we go! April 17, 2015. April 21, 2015. Not being one to ignore the Walmart craft gods, I bought the loom and a few skeins of yarn along with a pallet of tissues and I was on my way. Looming was something special. It’s the same as knitting but instead of the stitches being on needles they are on pegs. And instead of holding two needles you only need to hold a hook. My hands immediately said, “You need to do this all the time! So I started with this:. See what I mean?

MooBear Designs: One XL Ladies Dress
http://moobeardesigns.blogspot.com/2012/09/one-xl-ladies-dress.html
Want To Know A Bit More. Wednesday, September 5, 2012. One XL Ladies Dress. Once upon a time this dress use to belong to someone else. For what ever reason it was donated and I decided I wanted it. I liked the print, the soft jersey knit and long sleeves. The only problem was it was an XL lady's dress. The sleeves completely covered my hands and the shoulder seams sat half way down my forearm. Plus it was super stretching all over and well. it just didn't sit right on me at all. A look at the back. I hav...

MooBear Designs: Fixing Bubble's Boot
http://moobeardesigns.blogspot.com/2012/08/fixing-bubbles-boot.html
Want To Know A Bit More. Thursday, August 30, 2012. While I was out and about treasure shopping one day I spied the cutest pair of Country Road girls boots for $2. They looked the perfect size for Bubble and were all warm and fluffy inside. See? She was so excited when I showed her, eager to try them on. Until we noticed the zipper was broken. Now her heart was broken. I felt horrible. Why didn't I thoroughly check them over? Only this time she could wear them. Posted by MooBear Designs. Refashion Runway...

Adventures in Loom Knitting. Getting a Little Lacy. May 27, 2015. May 27, 2015. A few months ago I was looking around on Ravelry and came across a scarf pattern called Cordate by Tori Gurbisz. That uses Malabrigo Rasta. It’s freaking gorgeous and I wanted to immediately figure out how to make it on a loom. Turns out it was pretty darn easy to convert and a whole lot of fun to make. Gauge doesn’t really matter that much! This is a looooooooong scarf. Blocking it was a pleasure, however, because the la...
