Hummus.it's whats for lunch, dinner, and snack. I've even had it for breakfast ssshhhhh - that's our secret! 2 cups soaked, cooked chickpeas/garbanzo beans. 1/4 cup tahini (sesame butter). Juice from 1/2 lime/lemon - I like limes. I never use lemons! Liquid Smoke - just a couple of drops this stuff is potent.

I love all things handmade and crafty and this is too good not to share. I just found these HANDMADE wooden shoes on etsy. Mohop. Is the name of the shop. They are handmade in Chicago, by a woman, of course. They have loops on the sides and you can change out the ribbons, or use scarves, and tie them in many different ways. SO COOL! Well, the veganizing of my family is working! It's working so well that my dad is now on board. Shocking. I have successfully made vegan pizza-which my kids loved, seitan-although I'm still not sure exactly what that is, and vegan ice cream. My family is eating it all! They are actually eating more of my cooking now than when we ate meat and dairy. I am pleasantly surprised. Although, apparently my husband didn't get the memo because he keeps taking the girls to get ice cream and bacon.
