Simple Saver Series (August): Now Walk it Out. August 4, 2015. Last night I was headed to an event about a mile from my apartment. As I was getting ready to leave an internal battle popped up in my head: to walk or not to walk? For this proud city-dweller, walking should have been a no-brainer. And then the buts showed up. But it’s so hot out. But my hair’s going to frizz (Have I mentioned how much my hair and I hate swampy DC summers? But I already worked out this morning. The next time you’re debating ...

What to Put in Your Diaper Bag
http://itzlinz.com/2015/07/28/what-to-put-in-your-diaper-bag
Itz the life of linz. Skip to primary content. What to Put in Your Diaper Bag. July 28, 2015. I like seeing what other people carry in their bags. Whether it’s their purse, their gym bag, or their diaper bag, I think it’s interesting to see what other women feel they “must have.” (Maybe I’m nosy? Plus, magazines always do sneak peeks of celebrities’ bags which means people definitely find it interesting, right? Either way, today I’m sharing my own version of What to Put in Your Diaper Bag. You never know...

https://erinmotz.wordpress.com/2013/02/04/too-much-crazy
February 4, 2013. Well, the short story is this: I quit my “great” job in finance to pursue my real passion of teaching yoga. I’d always done so “on the side” for the past 8 years, and I just decided that enough was enough! Make the jump now or never. I’m one month in and feel like I’m dancing on clouds every day. I’ll still be blogging (I’m coming back, I swear! But pretty pretty please follow me on Facebook ( this is where the party’s at! Since that’s where the good stuff has been going lately! Create ...

Legally Blinde: DIY Personalized Coasters
http://legallyblinde.blogspot.com/2012/09/diy-personalized-coasters.html
Monday, September 17, 2012. Hello friends. Well, this semester is crazy-busy and I don't see it getting calmer anytime soon, so my posts will be sporadic. I still want to share fun things as I can, though, so I'm taking pictures and keeping notes for the rare moments when I can squeeze in a post! In August, I went to visit my best friend right after she moved into a new (gorgeous! I decided to try making some custom coasters. I wanted to color the edges of the tiles to make them look more polished, and I...

Happy Running Mama: September 2013
http://happyrunningmama.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 26, 2013. In like a lion, out like a lamb. It was almost exactly a year ago that I wrote about registering for my first Boston Marathon. And the accompanying excitement and anticipation of running such a historic race. I looked forward to training hard, to pushing myself and to testing my physical and mental limits in the marathon. Within a couple of weeks of that post, I was sharing details of the surprise trip to Italy. A tiny town on the coast of Italy. When tragedy struck. I w...

Happy Running Mama: July 2013
http://happyrunningmama.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 17, 2013. I was coasting through life on fumes on Sunday. Late Saturday night, we had returned from almost two weeks of visiting family in New York. Come Sunday morning, the kids were tired, the laundry was piled to the ceiling, my husband was gone for a rare day of golfing, the fridge was empty and so was I. By the early afternoon, I could feel myself losing it. I was having one of those woe-is-me. Needless to say, when my husband walked in the door at 2:30 that afternoon, I walked out.

Legally Blinde: Oh My Chard
http://legallyblinde.blogspot.com/2012/08/oh-my-chard.html
Tuesday, August 7, 2012. Awhile back, some of my family came in from out of town and brought me a super thoughtful gift - tons of homegrown rainbow chard! I washed it all and then cut out the thickest parts of the stems before putting the leaves into Ziploc bags with damp paper towels and storing it in the fridge. In my experience, this helps greens to stay fresh and crisp longer. I'm also much more likely to eat greens if they're already washed and ready to go. Check out the size of that leaf! I also tr...

Legally Blinde: Continuing the Tour
http://legallyblinde.blogspot.com/2012/12/continuing-tour.html
Saturday, December 1, 2012. Well this is the longest apartment "tour" ever. I shared pictures of my kitchen. And my living room. In previous posts, and now I'm finally getting around to sharing some pictures of the rest of my apartment. When you first walk into my apartment, you see my living room on the right. Straight ahead, you see my coat closet. One of the things I love most about my apartment is all of the storage! Having a coat closet is pretty luxurious, in my opinion. That ledge goes all the way...
