Sunday, May 31, 2015. Serves the typical cafe food (sandwiches, soups, salads) along with other items like pasta and pizza. There's also breakfast if you get here early but there's no need to rush, it's only okay. But I don't come for the food. I come for the coffee. I come specifically for the Milky Way (iced espresso with caramel, hazelnut, chocolate syrup and cream). Yeah, it's barely coffee but it's delicious. Modified by the accidental dad.

Sunday, June 14, 2015. Roasts some of the best coffee. This is where I get my coffee beans. Black Star blend. $15 a bag. And of course, they'll make you a cup of coffee too. I'll never order a vanilla latte but this is the only place that I will. Why? Because they actually use real vanilla bean (instead of syrup flavor). You can see the tiny black specs from the vanilla bean. At least that's what I think it is or maybe my mug was extra dirty. :(. Modified by the accidental dad.

But the food they serve isn't pretentious. Just look at what I had for brunch. It was good but a bit pricey. I could get a solid chicken fried steak for a cheaper price elsewhere but here, you're also paying for the setting and service. Actually, don't go. They're closed. Forever. Did you know you don't get any money for landing on Free Parking? Andrew is a big time spender in Monopoly (and in real life). Many times he was on the brink of bankruptcy but those investments paid off. After several hours of playing into the late night (10 pm), Andrew eventually won as we all died a slow death. My loaded station wagon. My big boy turns 5!

On Friday we took the kids to see The Avengers and this was Tyson's first experience at the theater. Besides constantly moving from seat to seat (we had the whole row to ourselves), he did well. And being such a long movie (2.5 hours), I was glad there was no need for a restroom break. Tyson's favorite scene in the movie:. Steak night at the in-laws.

Good coffee alone isn't enough to get past the mediocre food they serve so I had to eat somewhere else. This year, we went for brunch at Dish Society. We've been there a few times before (which has always been good) but keeping with the theme of the previous Father's Days, they served mediocre food that day. And after watching it this past weekend, I would have to respectfully disagree. The last (and only) time I've went to the circus was when it was still held at The Summit. I had fond memories of that venue and of the event but that was decades. Ago so I wanted to relive that experience with my own kids. Damn it's hot outside (100F). But I still like the elephants.

It's been three years since we last went to a baseball game. So I was pretty stoked to go to a game this year. Are people still saying "stoked"? And the Astros are pretty good this year (currently first place in the AL West). Let's get on the bandwagon! Tyson is not a fan of home runs. because of the boom.

This recipe makes about a half gallon of sauce- because why make a little when you can make a lot and have some for later! 15-20 medium sized tomatoes. 1 small white onion. 4 medium to large garlic cloves, peeled. 1 large green pepper. 2 teaspoons dried oregano. 1 tablespoon dried herbes de provence. 2 tablespoons dried italian seasoning. 2 teaspoons dulce or sweet smoked paprika. Salt to taste (after the sauce is completed). 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil. 1 cup tomato juice.
