Hello blogosphere… – The Grazing Gourmand
https://thegrazinggourmand.wordpress.com/2016/01/01/hello-blogosphere
Stories from a foodie and a farmer. Posted by The Grazing Gourmand. January 1, 2016. January 7, 2016. We hosted Christmas lunch this year (2016 doesn’t officially start in my mind until we need to do a decent supermarket trip). There were four kinds of meat with various sides and condiments. I was very excited to roast my first turkey. The stuffing was a creation of brown rice with caramelised onion, sage, cranberries and walnuts. I was inspired by and followed a Donna Hay recipe. Can I serve floor pasta?

Stories from a foodie and a farmer. My life revolves around food and cows. I love food. My husband loves cows. I love growing food, cooking food, reading, talking, thinking and watching food. But I’m pretty fussy when it comes to eating food. Even my own. Here are some stories from our life. Sometimes hectic and sometimes peaceful; but always dictated by weather and animals. Chocolate Cake Cravings – The Grazing Gourmand
https://thegrazinggourmand.wordpress.com/2016/01/14/chocolate-cake-cravings
Stories from a foodie and a farmer. Posted by The Grazing Gourmand. January 14, 2016. January 14, 2016. Chocolate is my favourite food group. Plain creamy milk chocolate or smooth and bitter dark chocolate. However, since the Annual Christmas Chocolate Glut I thought it best to only eat from the real food groups for a while. Today I gave in and decided chocolate cake was the way to go. So here it is:. I had mine with raspberry and lemon sauce, dark chocolate curls and ice cream. Guilt and craving free.
Can I serve floor pasta? – The Grazing Gourmand

Stories from a foodie and a farmer. Can I serve floor pasta? Posted by The Grazing Gourmand. January 3, 2016. January 4, 2016. I’m not usually one for kitchen disasters so luckily I found the floor covered in vegetables and chorizo quite amusing. My first thought was “Can I still serve that? 8221; then “That was my last chorizo! 8221; Eventually it crossed my mind that the floor might be suffering under the hot pan. Oops. Next came the happy dance when I realised there was enough left for dinner.

Stories from a foodie and a farmer. Meeting Mitten – A rags to riches story. Posted by The Grazing Gourmand. January 9, 2016. January 9, 2016. Hello, my name is Mitten. I have been with my human parents since I was about 4 weeks old. Before I came to my humans I lived with my mum and sister under a building at a university. Mum caught mice and birds and hunted with her family in the bins behind the dining hall. I think I’m really cute so I’ll share some pictures of myself with you sometimes. You are comm...

Eat veal, because you drink milk (and it’s delicious) – Cooking In Good Heart
https://cookingingoodheart.wordpress.com/2016/01/09/eat-veal-because-you-drink-milk-and-its-delicious
Cooking In Good Heart. A kitchen rooted in the soil. January 9, 2016. April 24, 2016. Eat veal, because you drink milk (and it’s delicious). Veal calf on pasture. I remember feeling sorry for the vegetarians. And slaughterhouses were enough to make me swear off eating meat. We drink a lot of milk (left unchecked, my husband will down a 1/2 gallon a day, and if we ever get a cow, he’ll happily up that to a full gallon, no problem). That the veal came from our friends. I don’t feel sorry for vegetari...

Graze: To feed on growing grasses. The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. What a life, huh? Oh that we could just graze and rest in shady green pastures all day long! But we can rest and graze in God’s green pastures and restore our souls . . . Are we feeling stretched to extreme? Are we content with who we are in God’s divine providence? Wednesday, July 29, 2015. No Bake Praline Cookies. 189; cup milk.
