http://theheapingteaspoon.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

This is my open letter to all of my family and friends, to replace those long, hand-written letters that I used to write to each of you individually. Everyone is welcome to join the conversation. Wednesday, February 3, 2010. I had lunch yesterday with a colleague who had just downloaded new project management software to keep track of the work on his various grants/contracts/projects and to keep track of the work his various people are doing for these projects. Life will be beautiful for him for a while.

This is my open letter to all of my family and friends, to replace those long, hand-written letters that I used to write to each of you individually. Everyone is welcome to join the conversation. Saturday, June 12, 2010. I am back after a four month hiatus from blogging. I have a bit too much going on in my life, but I am restarting for the summer, at least. We’ll see how it goes. Today is my 17th wedding anniversary. We’re off for the night and friends are taking the kids. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Heaping Teaspoon: November 2009

This is my open letter to all of my family and friends, to replace those long, hand-written letters that I used to write to each of you individually. Everyone is welcome to join the conversation. Friday, November 27, 2009. Okay, I realize now that regularly writing a blog post is not a trivial endeavor. I started at the beginning of the summer, and kept up with it pretty well for a few months. Then, the term began. Perhaps, but maybe not. I think the blog is just getting in the way. I will probably post ...

The Heaping Teaspoon: September 2009

This is my open letter to all of my family and friends, to replace those long, hand-written letters that I used to write to each of you individually. Everyone is welcome to join the conversation. Monday, September 28, 2009. My only conclusion is that, when I am in a situation that starts to frustrate me, I should not jump to conclusions about the cause and start blaming people. I will most likely be wrong, and if so, making a fuss would only make a fool out of myself (or worse). Friday, September 18, 2009.

This is my open letter to all of my family and friends, to replace those long, hand-written letters that I used to write to each of you individually. Everyone is welcome to join the conversation. Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Books I've Read 2009. I’ve been keeping track of the books I read each year for about 10 years now. I usually just write a page about them in my planner and move on, but this year I thought I would share the list. My goal is to read at least a book a month, on average. However, one st...

The Diary of a Crabby Scientist: January 2010

http://driono.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

The Diary of a Crabby Scientist. Saturday, January 30, 2010. The Last Week or So. Well, a while has passed since I last posted, so I am behind, yet again. Therefore, I will go a few mini-blog-posts that summarize what I have been up to. These are in a random order. Brother's Car Dies - Money to the Rescue. CrabBoy Hits 1/2 Puberty. We tried our best not to laugh. We are trying to figure out how to get through this little bump in the road. I am sure it will pass soon. Friday, January 15, 2010. But, I have...

The Diary of a Crabby Scientist: April 2010

http://driono.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

The Diary of a Crabby Scientist. Friday, April 16, 2010. I feel like I am neglecting you blog. I am spending so much time with my photo blog, and now I have been seduced away even more by blogging using my real identity (Clark Kent). They actually added my blog on the home page of the department. How can I turn my back on that blog now, old blog? Monday, April 12, 2010. Not science, at work. Sunday, April 11, 2010. Science, at home. I looked though and saw them too! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Diary of a Crabby Scientist. Sunday, March 21, 2010. As promised, here are my issues:. PD#1: He just needs more than I can give. It just feels like I give and I give and I give, but he just won't be satisfied. Why can't see see MY needs? Why is it all about HIM? PD#2: Use the "&" to run the model in the BACKGROUND! You don't have to sit there at your desk the whole time it is running! In case you don't know, pico is the editor for pine, which I am sure enlightens a lot of you! F/11 Hold It Steady.

The Diary of a Crabby Scientist: August 2009

http://driono.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

The Diary of a Crabby Scientist. Tuesday, August 25, 2009. I bought Welcome to the Pleasuredome by Frankie Goes to Hollywood! We're a long way from home. Ok, enough of that. Today, Crab-Girl woke up really late, so we didn't get to the day care place (day care for an 11 year old? I am not sure what to call it.) until 9:30. Then I discovered I had a very low tire. I drove to a gas station and bought some air (what the hell is up with buying air? Now I can make all sorts of stuff from Cook's Illustrated!

http://driono.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html

The Diary of a Crabby Scientist. Thursday, June 25, 2009. Same Place as Last Week. I am sitting in the same hotel, one floor up and one room away from the hotel that I was in last week at this exact same moment. Tomorrow I am going to take the same flight home and eat the same breakfast on the airplane. What is this, day 9? I am not looking forward to Sunday, in which I will, once again, leave the kids. Well, time to relax a bit and work on some more talks! Saturday, June 20, 2009. Thursday, June 18, 2009.

The Diary of a Crabby Scientist. Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Well, sorry. I have been away for a while. I have been finishing up with classes and such and then writing a major proposal for the last month. But, no more. I am literally sitting by the pool while the kids are swimming around. http://driono.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

The Diary of a Crabby Scientist. Sunday, October 25, 2009. Shot out of a cannon. That is how I feel. Last Monday I left for work, and I don't think that I have stopped since then. It won't stop tomorrow. It won't stop Tuesday. It definitely won't stop on Wednesday, when I have to be on an airplane at 7:10 AM (F*CK! Maybe Wednesday night I can try to go to bed early, but most likely I will have to go out to dinner with fellow researchers and socialize. Thursday? I am tired. Really, really tired. I was goi...

The Diary of a Crabby Scientist: December 2009

http://driono.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

The Diary of a Crabby Scientist. Sunday, December 27, 2009. Crab Mama and I went out to a movie this afternoon for the first time in months. Very nice. We were sadly one of the last people to arrive (as usual), and had to sit in the second row. Luckily the movie didn't have any explosions or action, so it was fine. With the previews I thought I was going to hurl. Ok, how old am I? Two of the three in-laws (plus two of the four dogs! Leave tomorrow. Fantastic! Maybe I can start my vacation! I have no F-in...

http://driono.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

The Diary of a Crabby Scientist. Sunday, September 27, 2009. Anyways, it can sometimes be quite frustrating, since we start doing these projects together, and we are both sort of excited by them, and then she loses interest. Well, I probably should just be happy that I can get my pre-teen daughter's interest in anything, let alone stuff that interests me too. Friday, September 25, 2009. 1 Yesterday I got to be "yelled at" by my department chair (again! Why do we care? And what is a humanities sequence?

Sunday, January 13, 2013. Today Payson was the Spotlight kid in Primary. They told a couple things about him and he brought his favorite stuffed animal and told the Primary about him. He looked so Handsome for church today but I didn't get a picture. :( My boys are both picky about their cookies and pretty much will only eat homemade chocolate chip! Today we "finally" made some! Payson loves helping out in the kitchen. I'm pretty sure he ate more cookies than all of us! Shayne and Chelsea Heap. A couple ...

Pat and Heidi...Lovin' Life With Two Little Boys

Sunday, March 9, 2014. Another hold-up has been the time it takes to edit photos, so I'm letting that part go. I've decided I would rather have our memories to look back on even if they are mostly unedited than not have them on here. The boys are always asking to look at the blog so a big part of it is for them. There's a new cousin in the mix now! Wow, time flies! There was snow at the end of April.yuck!
