Hendersonville Elementary kicked off the year with a celebration of the 2012 Olympics, forming the Olympic rings (Ella and all of first grade formed the red ring). A Semester in Paradise. Tuesday, April 10, 2007. I can't believe we just have one more week left here in Punta Cana. Like always time has flown and it feels like just yesterday that we arrived here. The anticipation of going home isn't as intense for me as it is for everyone else since I was just in the States last week. (I'm so glad I made it home though! I am still excited to get back and see all my friends and be in Blacksburg.with NO FINALS to take! What an American, huh? It will feel like Spring!

A Semester in Paradise. Thursday, February 8, 2007. Back in Punta Cana after 8 days of traveling through the country. We just got back yesterday from our longest field trip that we'll take this semester. Our professor right now is Lisa Kennedy and the course is Physical Geography. We got to see every type of terrain there is in the DR. We travelled from Punta. We left last Tuesday and travelled along the southern coast through La Romana. Domingo and stopped in La Constanza. We drove up to Valle Nuevo.

It was a tougher than expected transition for her (and us), but after lots of tears and requests to go back to preschool, we think she has finally rounded the corner in week #2 and grown to love her new school, teachers, and friends. There is something about the bath.he is one happy and playful boy after tub time. Enjoy! Dec 18, 2010. Ella's first letter to Santa:. She wrote it herself (with a little help on the spelling) and did a great job of sounding out her words. Of course the two words she already knew how to spell were "Ella" and "Pink"! Who would have guessed?
