Indie Treasures: February 2012
http://indietreasures.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Something Different for the Weekend. The homogenous state of UK culture is often criticised. Multi-national stores and conglomerates have supposedly taken over the high street; major labels have consumed independent artists; and the only restaurants available are chain bistros and cafes. However, it is my belief that there are plenty of independent treasures out there, both online and in the street. You just have to take the care to look for them. Sunday, 5 February 2012. Upstairs though is The Jericho.

back to the puter: March 2011
http://backtotheputer.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Back to the puter. If we remain silent, they’ll assume we agree. Thursday, 31 March 2011. Why i love the internet #462. Here's my webtrip for today and yet another reason why I love the internet (I don't know if this is the 462nd reason but it can't be far off). I visited the Pramblers Oxfam. Page after being sent a link at work. I loved the font at the top and wanted to know what it was. I started with the Posterous site. Which, incidentally, seems pretty cool, cross between a blog and Facebook? I also ...

MY FAVOURITE PLACES: Rachel Bavidge, actress | Muddy Stilettos
https://muddystiletto.wordpress.com/2012/10/11/my-favourite-places-rachel-bavidge-actress
Your urban guide to the countryside – Bucks/Oxon edition. MY FAVOURITE PLACES: Rachel Bavidge, actress. I’ve always loved this place and got my first real job after college working here in the coin department. My favourite object is ‘The Alfred Jewel’ which is a beautiful piece of Anglo-Saxon art. No-one is certain what it’s for, but it’s inscribed with ‘Alfred ordered me to be made’ and was probably made on the orders of King Alfred the Great. Jericho, central Oxford. Beaumont St, central Oxford. I was ...
