https://thejonnyp.wordpress.com/2015/02/03/the-pettitfiles-family-the-great-divide-and-a-day-of-memories
Who is The JonnyP. The Pettit Files-Family, the great divide and a day of Memories. Life is segmented by memories, they make up the DNA of our years and mark chapters of who we are and what and where we have been. Towards the end we all converge, like a notch in a mountain, a watershed ravine that spills to a river that swaddles and wonders towards a bigger ending, both a berth and a death. You go through many epiphany’s in doing such an effort, you become manic in moods, they are marked on either end of...

Who is The JonnyP. The Pettit Files Hydraulics, youth and water. We reflect much of a river, young, ambitious, eager to leave a mark, then to roll back and fondly remember all we did, the stories we created, retold to countless others and slowly sway out to the ocean, whichever one you believe in, always though, we wished we could spend more time in the peaceful beauty of where and how we started. Hydraulic, as stated in a dictionary is. I ask then, aren’t we all bound by hydraulics? As my time in AZ com...

Who is The JonnyP. Art, stories and understanding. But that is the way it was for me-a young romantic beginning an involvement and commitment to life and writing which-when it reached its most enlarged and present state-rests on the basic belief that what seems most beautiful in all I see about me is what men and women can create with their hands, issuing from their hearts and heads. the observatori: November 2006
http://www.observatori.ca/2006_11_01_archive.html
Life, from my perspective. Wednesday, November 29, 2006. One of my goals for the upcoming year is to complete the Transrockies. It's a one week mountain bike race through the Canadian Rockies, from Fernie to Panorama, crossing the continental divide twice. Over seven days, I will ride more than 600 kilometres, including over 12,000 metres of vertical. It's one of the toughest mountain bike races on earth and it will be my first mountain bike race. I sure know how to pick them. Posted by tori at 7:07 PM.

Life, from my perspective. Monday, January 29, 2007. You could see the occasional footprint where he had sunk past his knee. I didn't know whether to think he was foolish or ambitious. I wish I would have had my camera (but I felt bad and gave it to Erik to use on his trip to NYC since his is getting repaired due after I dropped it on our bike trip). Posted by tori at 11:09 PM. Thursday, January 25, 2007. Last night I went to the Billy Talent concert with my friends Karen and Chris. I missed the band...

Life, from my perspective. Wednesday, February 28, 2007. Damn My scale is, like, totally broken. About two months ago I set a set a two month goal of losing ten pounds. Well, I stepped on my scale this morning to discover I've gained about five. Crap. If you've got 6 minutes, the long version. Of the SNL skit is hilarious.). Posted by tori at 6:50 PM. the observatori: Karakoram Highway: Gilgit to Karimabad
http://www.observatori.ca/2013/09/karakoram-highway-gilgit-to-karimabad.html
Life, from my perspective. Friday, September 6, 2013. Karakoram Highway: Gilgit to Karimabad. We left this morning at first light ( 5h30). The road was delightfully quiet and smooth, but there were packs of dogs every 100m or so leaving town. And then more packs every few kilometers after that. We saw one dog with what appeared to be another dogs leg in his mouth. We didnt stop to take a picture. Gerry accidentally broke into a Pakistani military compound today. Mr Foo was completely wasted. Suddenly, Mr...

Life, from my perspective. Friday, September 6, 2013. Karakoram Highway: Karimabad to Sost. Since we left Gilgit, the Karakoram has taken us up the valley formed by the Hunza River. A rock slide (of, like, half of a mountain) in January 2010 dammed this river, blocking its flow for five months and creating a lake that was, at one point 21km in length. The newly formed lake buried 25km of the highway, flooded villages and displaced/stranded tens of thousands of people. Fashion has shifted as well. For...

Life, from my perspective. Tuesday, March 27, 2007. I found God in the lobby of the Hyatt. Walking to lunch today, I passed Eric Clapton in the lobby of the Hyatt. He was sitting there just like any regular person - you'd have never guessed he had entranced 16,000 people last night. But I knew, because I went to the Eric Clapton concert. It was excellent, as expected. For an Eric with a 'c', he's alright. I love that people like this exist. Posted by tori at 8:08 PM. Sunday, March 25, 2007. It was my fir...

Life, from my perspective. Wednesday, September 4, 2013. Karakoram Highway - Islamabad to Gilgit. We left at 3am. Even in the darkness of the early morning, it was exciting to be on the road. Trucks here are decorated with every detail; neon lights, reflective paint, chimes that jingle while the truck is in motion. I felt as though I was back at burning man. Posted by tori at 10:43 AM. the observatori: Tashkurgen to Kashgar
http://www.observatori.ca/2013/09/tashkurgen-to-kashgar.html
Life, from my perspective. Wednesday, September 11, 2013. We took a sit down breakfast in Tashkurgen and enjoyed the morning calmness before setting out. The streets were empty but for a few Tajik women in high heels, nylons and colourful dresses cleaning the street (where was my camera when I needed it! After breakfast, I had an incident with a public toilet (squattie pottie) that involved a broken pipe and getting blasted at high pressure while I was locked in the cubicle. We took three days to pedal t...

Life, from my perspective. Monday, September 16, 2013. We are again in a vehicle with our bicycles. Just as when we entered China from the south, there is a rather large area near the northern border with Kyrgyzstan through which independent travel is not permitted. Our driver has clearly been here before, carefully navigating around the invisible potholes, then recovering time on the good stretches of road. The driver slams on the brakes. Will the van flip land on its side? Will we hit the ditch? The ba...
the observatori: Karakoram Highway: Kashgar
http://www.observatori.ca/2013/09/karakoram-highway-kashgar.html
Life, from my perspective. Saturday, September 14, 2013. Kashgar is famous as a crossroads market at the western edge of the Taklimakan desert in China. A critical junction along the silk route, it has historically been the meeting point for vendors from Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgystan, Kazakhatan and china. Mens fashion is substantially less sensational, marked very simply by a four cornered hat, decorated according to the area from which they come. They sit around a ...

The Jon Olson Project. Learn Laugh. Love. I’m Glad 2014 Is Ending…. So April was the last time I made a blog post on The Jon Olson Project…. I’ve got only myself to blame. With getting engaged, daily grinds online and the family life I’ve really stopped focusing on ‘me’ lately. It’s been more about everyone in my life rather than myself, which is fine but at the same time…It’s important to remember yourself and where you are heading. But it’s how I focus. It’s what I’m good at. Tom Wacker Made Me Think.

The Jono Show Review Page
Tuesday, 10 February 2009. Casting Crowns – The Altar And The Door. The album starts with a driving drum and a very much U2 style lead guitar. The track "What This World Needs" talks of what this world doesn't need, but puts the answer in the chorus. (The answer being Jesus, in case you were wondering). With such honest lyrics this first opening track has everything for a great start to the album. (Including a fantastic guitar solo in the middle! Review by Jono Davies. Prayer For A Friend,. Starting with...
