Saturday, November 10, 2007. The few, the proud. Happy 232nd Birthday to the United States Marine Corps. Ive worked with many Marines. Throughout the course of my career. Ive come to understand them; I admire them; I love their work ethos; and their esprit de corps. Here are three specific things Ive learned about Marines from Marines:. 1) Marines live by the rule of threes. 2) Marines have better situational awareness (SA). Than most Army Soldiers because of the OODA Loop. November 12, 2007 at 7:46 PM.
