After our whirlwind day in the city, we got up bright and early (like meet at 8am) and headed to Napa for a fun day full of tastings! Monday, July 18, 2011. Summer Fun with Friends. We have had a summer full of fun! I have not posted in a while so here is 2 in 1! Weekend we went to the lake with Amber, Casey, Randi, Kim, Tim and Ethan. We had a really great time. We rented a pontoon all day Saturday and took the kids out. They of course LOVE the pontoon boats. We swam, cruised and Sr. Capt Casey lead Apprentice. Capt Ethan into 2 huge tidal waves. Showed they were Mahi. They are worth it, and I am able because He is faithful. 5 years ago, I anticipated, that by this point in our lives we'd be on the brink of returning from a 4 year term in Kenya. Our lives would be revolving around taking the gospel to the nations, building relationships with nationals, living among the people and serving them with open arms and glad hearts so that they experience Jesus in me. And then, loss. Who needs God anyway? Not any God I want to follow, that's for sure.
