Our Mission to Chile: September 2010
http://ourmissiontochile.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Our Mission to Chile. Sunday, September 12, 2010. Take a peek at the Feria. This is what we see as we enter the street of the Feria. These two trucks come from the coast with fresh fish ready to be cut to order or you can choose those already cut. It smells so bad we just hurry by. Notice Warren and Duane Macdonald don't even want to come near for a picture. Each truck has two butchers. It looks like such hard, messy stinky work that I feel sorry for them. The shops go on for a block and a half. These ar...

It is made out of horse hairs! We saw so many different kinds of Nativities but I only picked a few unsual ones from Chile. This is the cute little Nativity that we got. Monkey Puzzle: August 2009
http://amonkeypuzzle.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 30, 2009. And now. The unfortunate reality of regular life. We came back just in time for Ian to sing his solo in church. At first I was bothered by the timing of the entire thing. I mean, he was singing the very week we got home. However, in the end it worked out fine. Because we were going to Chile, we decided to sing. I am a Child of God. Here is the soloist! But, Ian is in 2nd grade this year and so far is doing great! His team scored 4! But that was just Ian. He is quite a player.

Our Mission to Chile: Earthquake in the Night
http://ourmissiontochile.blogspot.com/2010/03/earthquake-in-night.html
Our Mission to Chile. Sunday, March 7, 2010. Earthquake in the Night. After being "shaken" awake Warren found the emergency light that we bought when we got to Chile. We finally found something we bought that we actually needed. A quick inspection of the apartment found only minor damage, but nothing serious. Broken vases and fallen pictures. The water in the toilets sloshed out onto the floor, but we didn't notice at the moment as we were headed down the stairs and outside. March 15, 2010 at 12:12 AM.

Monkey Puzzle: The Pumpkin Patch
http://amonkeypuzzle.blogspot.com/2009/11/pumpkin-patch.html
Sunday, November 01, 2009. We were thrilled when we got to the pumpkin patch the day before the "snow" and the farmer said we could take as many pumpkins as we wanted. Ian carved his own pumpkins. He's getting very good. We didn't see any blood at all. Wish we were there too! Next year hopefully well make it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
