Andrew, Lori, Katherine and Isabella. Monday, June 21, 2010. As a high school assistant principal, Andrew only gets one week off in the summer! It's quite a change for us. So, we spent last week at the beach in Destin. We did not see any oil, and we had a great time. Katherine liked the beach this year - she walked on the sand and swam in the ocean. Katherine loves to read. She memorizes the books and reads them to herself. Sisters. The girls are starting to interact now. It's so sweet.

Andrew, Lori, Katherine and Isabella. Monday, January 4, 2010. I've tried skiing twice. I can do it, but I hate it. I feel too out of control and don't want to fall. Andrew loves it - actually snow boarding. So I was glad that he was able to have fun with friends. We're on the cheese wagon! After carrying Isabella and all their stuff for four days, I felt like I had been skiing, too! And stomping her feet on her pallet. She was listening to her silly songs and would not stop singing and go to sleep.

She got her fourth ear infection since June, so she got tubes put in her ears this past Friday. We did it at the outpatient center of Children's Hospital in Birmingham - great experience all around. I am holding Katherine Maxey (K-Max). She is Lori's daughter who works with us . so we get to see this little darling every day! And she loves kisses! And she loves the camera! Bob and I officiated at a wedding last Friday night. First time we had been dressed so formaly in a LONG TIME! Ellie thought Jack's ears needed some improvement!

The Maxey Pad News. Monday, April 27, 2009. In February was our semiannual Make a Blanket Day (MBA) at the mall. Mom created a pattern for her boo challenge quilt and Mary Balagna helped her and she and her husband came up with a beautiful name for it: Tori's Torrific Quilt! They secretly gathered the proceeds from the pattern as it sold at MBD, whether just the pattern or the kit, and gave them to our family! It was a lot too!
