Mzungu Eriki on a bike. South Masai steppe tour. I asked Arusha Bikers mailing list about joining me for a short tour. In the end no one could go, so I went alone. Alone is good too. I had a plan of "finding" this mountain pictured above, called Landanai. Mzungu Eriki on a bike. Same old boring ride (yawn). I couldn't ride this trail down the great rift! I had to walk and even carry the bike down the 200m elevation drop . Below is just past the worst part when I put the bike down. Before that it was all I could do to keep the bike on my back, thus no picture. It was not the hardest thing I have ever done, but it was hard. I have carried up. A similar trail near this one and it was one of the hardest hours of my life. But that was another story. Saturday, May 14, 2011. Well, I hope everyone has had a happy SIX months! Goodness, where does time go? Since it has been so long I’ll just hit the highlights of the last six months. Ok, here we go:. November and December were full of family time. Sean’s family came out to Colorado and spent Thanksgiving here with us. It was pretty neat to get to go skiing on Thanksgiving Day (that was a first! I guess that is one of the perks. This semester was a FULL one for Sean…17 hours and also doing Practicum.

How Quickly My Life Has Changed. Last night, I walked through the kids playroom, where I spend the majority of my day, which used to be an adult playroom holding a pool table and a humidor. We stayed for a bit longer on the beach and took one final dip in the ocean before loading up to head back to the Arawak. We all waved good-bye to the beach and said we hope to be back again.
