Tramping a Perpetual Journey: El Chalten Hiking: Mount Fitz Roy

http://themiddlespaces.blogspot.com/2015/07/el-chalten-hiking-mount-fitz-roy.html

Living and Teaching Abroad. Japanese Art and Culture. Tuesday, July 7, 2015. El Chalten Hiking: Mount Fitz Roy. Laguna de Los Tres, El Chalten. When people think of hiking in Patagonia, many people think of the Torres del Paine in Chile, but Argentina has just as much to offer in the little town of El Chalten. It's most famous peak is Mount Fitz Roy, which on clear days can be seen as you drive into town from the highway. Arriving in El Chalten, in Argentinian Patagonia. Posted by Maura Lydon. Tramping a Perpetual Journey: November 2013

http://themiddlespaces.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

Living and Teaching Abroad. Japanese Art and Culture. Monday, November 25, 2013. One of the best things about living in Santiago, is that youre only a couple hours from either the beach or the mountains. From the city there are lots of little hills and mountains in walking distance or a short bus ride away that we like to escape to on the weekends. One of the best areas to go hiking from Santiago is Cajon del Maipo. . Posted by Maura Lydon. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Busan city...

Tramping a Perpetual Journey: Japanese Artists: Yoshitaka Amano

http://themiddlespaces.blogspot.com/2011/05/japanese-artists-yoshitaka-amano.html

Living and Teaching Abroad. Japanese Art and Culture. Monday, May 16, 2011. Japanese Artists: Yoshitaka Amano. I think that Amano's style perfectly suits the fantasy genre. There is something so inherently "fantastic" about his use of color, contrast and landscape. Looking at his art really makes me feel like I've caught a glimpse of another world. The Tale of Genji. The Death of Elaine. From the Arthurian Legends (aka: The Lady of Shalott). A collaboration with Neil Gaiman for Sandman. Yoshitaka Amano i...

Tramping a Perpetual Journey: Latin American Music

http://themiddlespaces.blogspot.com/2015/08/latin-american-music.html

Living and Teaching Abroad. Japanese Art and Culture. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. I have to start off with Ana Tijoux because she is by far my favorite Spanish-language artist that I've discovered so far. Another one of my favorites, Bomba Estereo is a Colombian band with a cool pop/folk kind of feel and a lot of energy. Their music is great for dancing to and some of the quieter songs are good for relaxing and chilling out. Posted by Maura Lydon. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Photo from here . ...
