Wireless Mike: May 2010
http://thebigpile.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 28, 2010. Flyers vs. Hawks: I Can't Miss. As a big fan of both teams, the fact that the Flyers and Blackhawks are playing for the Stanley Cup has left me in a position where I’ve got an empty net. I can’t miss! One of my teams is about to win the Stanley Cup. For as long as I’ve followed hockey – over 20 years now – I never seriously considered the possibility that these two teams would ever face each other in the championship round. This year, the stars have aligned. On the Philly side, they...

Wireless Mike: Do You Believe In (Multiple) Miracles (At The Meadowlands)?
http://thebigpile.blogspot.com/2010/12/do-you-believe-in-multiple-miracles-at.html
Monday, December 20, 2010. Do You Believe In (Multiple) Miracles (At The Meadowlands)? Okay, so it wasn't actually at the same venue as Herman Edwards' improbable fumble return for a touchdown in 1978. But it's close enough. Gotta admit, diehard Eagles fan that I am, I bailed on the game once it got to be 24-3 Giants, late in the 1st half. I know a lot of Eagles fans kept watching the game, but nobody thought they'd come back and win it. NOBODY. Don't stop now, boys. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Wireless Mike: December 2010

Friday, December 24, 2010. From my dance-tastic family, to yours. Personalize funny videos and birthday eCards. Monday, December 20, 2010. Do You Believe In (Multiple) Miracles (At The Meadowlands)? Okay, so it wasn't actually at the same venue as Herman Edwards' improbable fumble return for a touchdown in 1978. But it's close enough. Even after the Eagles scored to make it 24-10, the Giants came right back and scored again to make it 31-10. Should have been the ballgame. Don't stop now, boys. NFL TV reg...

Wireless Mike: Un-Bear-Able
http://thebigpile.blogspot.com/2011/01/un-bear-able.html
Saturday, January 22, 2011. Only a few hours remain until the showdown that has the country ablaze, between two of the top teams in the league, as Chicago gets set to host a matchup for the ages. Of course, I'm talking about the Blackhawks and the Flyers. Yep, the Stanley Cup rematch begins at 11:30am on Sunday - a time that was moved up by NBC so they don't conflict with the other big game in Chicago - and I'll be there. So, go Flyers. And, for the love of Paul Hornung, GO PACKERS! My morning show blog.

Wireless Mike: October 2010
http://thebigpile.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Sadly, there may only be two other times I get to enjoy watching Jayson Werth shake champagne out of his Brady-esque hairdo. But, I'm not going to let the impending loss of the Phillies' all-star right fielder get in the way of my enjoyment of this year's postseason run. In fact, anyone with any kind of favorable feeling toward the Phillies probably did their best to stick their hands in their pockets, start whistling, and walked away from that game as soon as possible. Credi...

Wireless Mike: Ganz!
http://thebigpile.blogspot.com/2011/12/ganz.html
Saturday, December 03, 2011. Holy crap. It took this. To wake me from my blogging slumber! After all of these years of having been a 48 Hrs. Fan, I just now realized that the actor that played Ganz is the same actor currently playing Dexter Morgan's dad, Harry. Last night, thanks to some rare alone time at the house, I watched the last half of 48 Hrs. It didn't hit me at first, but then I recognized the name Remar from seeing the opening credits to Dexter. Wireless Mike: August 2010
http://thebigpile.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 26, 2010. Tiger Woods' 65 in the opening round of The Barclays today makes one thing perfectly clear. Tiger's got his mojo back - on and off the course - and ladies, lookout. It's never been simpler to figure out the secret to Woods' success. Single Tiger Married (but cheating) Tiger = Best golfer in the world. Freshly divorced Tiger, free to resume his shtooping all across the globe = a 65 in the first round at The Barclays, his best round of the year. Sunday, August 22, 2010. Never tho...

Wireless Mike: December 2011
http://thebigpile.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 06, 2011. It's the holiday season, and while generally, I enjoy a large majority of Christmas music, there are a handful of songs - as I'm sure is the case with everyone - that are absolute torture to listen to this time of year. There are Christmas Classics, and then there are Christmas Trash-ics. In no particular order, here are a few of the songs that make me want to stab a reindeer. Vince Vance and The Valiants - "All I Want For Christmas Is You". Elvis Presley - "Blue Christmas".
