50 Years Too Late: The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Christopher Plummer's Yackin'
http://50yearstoolate.blogspot.com/2007/05/hills-are-alive-with-sound-of.html
50 Years Too Late. I missed all the good stuff. Tuesday, May 29, 2007. The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Christopher Plummer's Yackin'. Wow, I did not realize what an ornery old man Christopher Plummer is. The Sound of Music. Audio commentary. This is not to say that he isn't wildly entertaining. Christopher Plummer hates kids. He hates them because they steal his thunder, being so darn cute and all. Julie Andrews feels somewhat the same way about the kids but has the tact to not actually say it.

50 Years Too Late: July 2011
http://50yearstoolate.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
50 Years Too Late. I missed all the good stuff. Thursday, July 7, 2011. It's All in the Family. No, this isn't a post about Sabrina. A post about movie-loving genetics. My grandmother likes to talk about her mother who, in her older years, would visit her local movie theater just about every day to see the latest films. This sounds like great fun, and it's often made me wonder if all my movie-loving runs in the family. My grandmother also loves movies and is responsible for my My Fair Lady. The New Small...

50 Years Too Late: The Rain in Spain
http://50yearstoolate.blogspot.com/2007/05/rain-in-spain.html
50 Years Too Late. I missed all the good stuff. Monday, May 14, 2007. The Rain in Spain. As part of my Julie Andrews stage, I'm currently enjoying my My Fair Lady (1959 Original London Cast). CD I've listened to it approximately 3 times straight through today at work. Pretty said, I know, but apparently it's great work music. I have some background with My Fair Lady. I was slightly more devastated when I found out that Julie Andrews probably should have been in the movie, having played the role on Broadw...

50 Years Too Late: What Happens in Brigadoon Stays in Brigadoon ... Literally
http://50yearstoolate.blogspot.com/2011/08/what-happens-in-brigadoon-stays-in.html
50 Years Too Late. I missed all the good stuff. Friday, August 5, 2011. What Happens in Brigadoon Stays in Brigadoon . Literally. Last night I watched Brigadoon. For the first time, which is kind of surprising because it's been recommended, or at least mentioned to me, plenty of times over the years. I just never sat down to watch it. So thanks to Netflix, the time finally came. I don't want to give away to much because Brigadoon. Anyway, they head down to this little town hoping to be able to rest and f...

50 Years Too Late: January 2013
http://50yearstoolate.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
50 Years Too Late. I missed all the good stuff. Saturday, January 12, 2013. Move Over, Darling . In Real Life. I love watching my old movies with my husband. He never complains and he often offers a new perspective on movies I've seen dozens of times. Sometimes he has deep insights that I've never thought about before. Other times (maybe most of the time) his observations are along the lines of, "This story line is getting really ridiculous.". Just when I was getting discouraged at the fact that I wasn't...

50 Years Too Late: In the Good Old Summertime
http://50yearstoolate.blogspot.com/2007/12/in-good-old-summertime.html
50 Years Too Late. I missed all the good stuff. Sunday, December 16, 2007. In the Good Old Summertime. Tonight I enjoyed a Judy Garland double feature with some friends. It seems I've got 'em hooked. hahaha (evil laugh). Anyway, we watched Meet Me in St. Louis. My second viewing in a week), but the main purpose of our gathering was to watch In the Good Old Summertime. Number 3 on my Top Ten Judy Garland Movies. List, In the Good Old Summertime. And remade again as You've Got Mail. The extremely creepy gu...

Wonder & Wandering: My Crazy Life
http://wonderandwandering.blogspot.com/2015/06/my-crazy-life.html
The wandering thoughts of someone whos wondering what God has in store, and other random things. Friday, June 12, 2015. Time for an update? I think so. I can’t really believe I haven’t written since December! That’s a lot. I still haven’t settled on a new “home church” but am close. I miss friends, family, belonging. Some mornings I wake up, walk into my living room and think, I’m in Minnesota. Woah. Next up: finish getting a car and. get a library card! What it's about: Crazy. By Tatiana de Rosnay.

50 Years Too Late: My Brush with Fame
http://50yearstoolate.blogspot.com/2007/05/my-brush-with-fame.html
50 Years Too Late. I missed all the good stuff. Monday, May 7, 2007. My Brush with Fame. I really can't say that I've ever met anyone famous, but this is about as close as I've come so far. Last October, a movie theater in the area (the same one Shirley Jones was at) hosted a Hitchock festival. I was pretty excited, of course. The first night they showed Vertigo. Anyway, the second night was a bit more eventful; they showed The Birds. Was there, along with Veronica Cartwright. Yes, it was that. Which kin...
