Monday, August 3, 2015. Garden Ups and Downs. Believe it or not, we are still alive! Life has been busy and hectic and full. We were hanging on anticipation as our tomato plant blossomed, then grew small, green tomatoes. There was one the size of a plum - a heroic proportion for our garden! We grew about 6 pickling cucumbers. We sliced them and put them in brine in the refrigerator. They were tasty. Our herbs did well this year and our blackberry bushes produced large, juicy berries for the first time.

Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Summer Blooms in the Yard. We planted a wildflower mix by the bee hives and they are starting to bloom. They get dappled sunlight and seem to be doing well. Friday, January 30, 2015. Laundry Fairies and House Elves. When I worked closer to home, my husband worked full time and long hours. I would pick our son up from school, drive home, do the laundry, load the dishwasher, etc. My husband never saw the laundry process happen, he just always had clean clothes. I started with the Herbal Cordial, despite the disclosure stating that "it is best viewed and tasted as a medicinal tonic rather than a drink for pure enjoyment." She asked if I would donate some face painting time to the benefit she was throwing. I donated all of the proceeds from the faces I did to Brianna and Cole Phylis. She is very precise and strives for perfection during shooting and even afterwards while editing her shots. I have literally seen her remove dust particles from the lapel of a groom's picture.That girl is dedicated I tell ya! Our latest project was a photoshoot inspired by fantasy. Thursday, November 8, 2012. I have used many different techniques for removing makeup. I found a two step process to be the best. Makeup remover wipes or wash. Use the makeup remover on the cotton balls to remove the first "layer". Hold the cotton ball down first THEN wipe. Then use the makeup removal wipes or face wash to finish the job.
