Monday, September 21, 2009. 160;was the place they would search for clams and a man and his two daughters thought that 15 feet away from out plot of land would be a reasonable distance. So, I felt a little uncomfortable "blasting my pecs" in front of these yahoos. . Anyway, as I wallow in my self-deprication. check out  this. September 28, 2009 at 9:55 PM. Sunday, May 24, 2009. Safer bike routes anyone? Apparently London's mayor and some other politicians found out first-hand that biking on city streets can be a little sketchy.  Here's the video. Thursday, May 21, 2009. Do you ever feel that while you are writing about something, someone else is actually doing it. How David Beats Goliath, or, why basketball is stupid. Matters - and how form. Anyway, thanks to Vicky. For sending me this. Wednesday, May 20, 2009. Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Monday, May 18, 2009.

themusingsofgrandpa: a new leaf and whatnot

http://www.themusingsofgrandpa.blogspot.com/2009/09/new-leaf-and-whatnot.html

Thursday, September 17, 2009. A new leaf and whatnot. I am not very good at doing un-fun things - especially when an alternative is at hand. I'm terrible at delaying gratification and I am very good at distracting myself. As anyone who was around me during grad school days, need I remind you of how loooooong it took me to get a stupid thesis written.  . I have already done both of these things today. So, you should be able to check this space regularly and there will be some NEW CONTENT!

themusingsofgrandpa: going to school, to go to school, to go to school

http://www.themusingsofgrandpa.blogspot.com/2009/08/going-to-school-to-go-to-school-to-go.html

Sunday, August 16, 2009. Going to school, to go to school, to go to school. I have some colleagues who love the game so much that they get involved in coaching as a way of staying connected to tennis; these are the people who play. Tennis when they are not working, watch. Anyway, I’m back in school this. September so that I can go to school next. September, so that I can go to school as a career.  Funny how things work. . Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Xe Dapsicle: Hanoi, bikes, and ice creams…. 8230;on a stick. March 9, 2010. So maybe instead of writing the all-encompassing post, because that really is an impossible task, I’ll start with some of the things that I’m missing right now (including toothpicks, and throwing rubbish on the ground). And because wordpress murders the quality of the pics, you can see them here. I miss being able to get great coffee anywhere. And by anywhere, I mean anywhere. Boat coffee at the Cần Thơ floating markets. And warm...

Xe Dapsicle: Hanoi, bikes, and ice creams…. 8230;on a stick. From Hanoi with love, and a skirt. April 22, 2009. Ooooo First post in my first venture into actual content creation, as opposed to just complacently criticising the content creation attempts of others. I may soon find out the meaning of just desserts. Yum! Anyway, to kick us off, this is a dog I saw in the Old Quarter in Hanoi, and it marked the moment I decided I liked this town. I’d better quit with this post while I’m still ahead. Create a ...

Xe Dapsicle: Hanoi, bikes, and ice creams…. 8230;on a stick. March 7, 2010. Ten days out of the Noi. Still jetlagged. Still contemplating that last all-encompassing post while wading through years and multiple countries’ worth of tax returns. At least my bike is back together. Not actually my bike. One Response to “And then…”. March 8, 2010 at 10:22 am. I hope you’ll start another blog. Your writing makes me (and many others) happy. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Xe Dapsicle: Hanoi, bikes, and ice creams…. 8230;on a stick. Worse than getting phlegmed on. February 25, 2010. The only thing worse than packing is saying goodbye. Saying goodbye is balls. It’s the worst. I’d have a hard time deciding between having to say goodbye and having a rash. And no bacon, no cheese and none those funny-shaped tasty leaves forever. 2 Responses to “Worse than getting phlegmed on”. February 26, 2010 at 5:27 am. Xe Dapsicle: Hanoi, bikes, and ice creams…. 8230;on a stick. February 22, 2010. Sorry about that outburst. Nothing like picturing yourself as the hapless recipient of uncontrollable road rage to get the old angry-pants on (particularly as I am pretty sure I will be an Asian Woman Driver when I return). I have calmed down somewhat – enough to share the festive red Chúc Mừng Năm Mới! Happy New Year) greetings, as brought to you by the infamous Hanoi Hilton. Holiday good wishes from the Big House.

Xe Dapsicle: Hanoi, bikes, and ice creams…. 8230;on a stick. To Hanoi with love, and a bucket. March 17, 2010. So, a bit of time has passed now since I left Hanoi, and I can say that there are good things about being back in Sydney. Like, my dog. And the Alfalfa House. And sunshine so bright it laughs at your retinas. Tell it like it is sister! Shower time with mum. Said, “the best love songs are written with a broken heart.” (It’s true: karaoke made me a better person.) Despite...Much much tiny dog love.

The Musings of Bookworms

The Musings of Bookworms. Wednesday, May 25, 2016. I have far too much yarn stored up in my room. It's starting to overflow the bucket I have for it. I stress crochet and I've been more than a little stressed lately, what with figuring out living situations and one of my friends moving home and just general frustrations at work. Oh, and I broke my little toe not too long ago. It helped that I was procrastinating something else. I had another project I was working on and I misplaced my crochet hook fo...

The Musings of Chlo. Books and Films and all the rest. Review:Doctor Who- Face The Raven. December 4, 2015. After the slightly artsy episode of Sleep No More, I was pleasantly relieved to see Doctor Who return to form. We are randomly reunited with that guy from ‘Flatline’ episode. Graffiti artist Rigsy is cute and I like him. He has a tattoo on his neck, counting down the minutes until he dies. The Doctor … More Review:Doctor Who- Face The Raven. florence's musings

Tuesday, 29 May 2012. Soap and glory mist you madly body spray. When the weather is as glorious as it has been recently I'm always so afraid of getting sweaty and sticky and horrible, especially living in London where travelling consists of boiling hot and over-packed tubes and buses. Therefore one of my summer essentials, along with a good deodorant, is a nice body spray to be able to have in my bag to easily freshen up throughout the day. If you love sweet and girly scents then I'd definitely pick up t...

Stick with me - there is a really cool message to share here. I think it is safe to say that my social media accounts are often flooded with posts about basketball. Little Lady with a Little Mind

Little Lady with a Little Mind. The Plough, Pyecombe – Sunday Roast Review. April 14, 2015. This weekend was the sort of weekend you don’t want to be lying in bed watching films and snoozing. Sunday was the sort of day you woke to the sunlight streaming through your curtains and the birds chirping away. And to me that’s not the sort of day you should be wasting. Nestled on the foot of the downs, and just off the A23 you have Pyecombe, a small village with beautiful views and a stone’s throw away from the...
