The musings of Happy Hannah
The musings of Happy Hannah. A look at the world through the eyes of an average mum with an enthusiastic outlook on life. Sunday, May 24, 2015. Not another basketball post. Stick with me - there is a really cool message to share here. I think it is safe to say that my social media accounts are often flooded with posts about basketball. Stadium check ins, results, sharing news to gain support for basketball, how proud I am of my family involved in basketball. So when you have your eyes ready to roll about...

Little Lady with a Little Mind
Little Lady with a Little Mind. The Plough, Pyecombe – Sunday Roast Review. April 14, 2015. This weekend was the sort of weekend you don’t want to be lying in bed watching films and snoozing. Sunday was the sort of day you woke to the sunlight streaming through your curtains and the birds chirping away. And to me that’s not the sort of day you should be wasting. Nestled on the foot of the downs, and just off the A23 you have Pyecombe, a small village with beautiful views and a stone’s throw away from the...

I've finally realized this three-quarters of the way through Lent. But isn't Lent just a symbolic period in preparation for Easter? I know...

The musings of jac. I'm still working on my masterpiece…. This Is The New Loneliness. April 8, 2015. It’s a weekday evening and you’re feeling restless. You’re texting friends and you’re watching Netflix and you’re on your laptop and you’re scrolling through Tumblr or Facebook or Instagram or Twitter. Your attention is in ten different directions, yet there’s a tug, a tiny voice in the back of your mind. It asks:. What are you distracting yourself from? You ignore. Scroll again. Click again. themusingsofkathryn | An excuse to write, hoping others will read.
An excuse to write, hoping others will read. July 7, 2015. Where has the care gone? Perhaps if we started living like Jesus did, that would change. Perhaps instead of pointing fingers and throwing the Bible at people, we should read it first. Maybe we should read verses like 1 Corinthians 5:12 which states, “What business is it of mine [Paul] to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:...

The Musings of Kev. Random Thoughts and Rants from an Everyday Saxophonist. Friday, January 16, 2015. The Marathon Band Concert That Doesn't Feel LIke One. For those unfamiliar with Region, this event really isn't one concert- it's five mini-concerts. Each band has a 45-minute slot, and the start time for each band is listed in the program; even if a band runs short, the next band won't start till its posted time. Of the new pieces played tonight, the one that most caught my attention was "Ruckus." b...

The Musings of Kristen Nicole
On May 12th, I was let go from my job. It's amazing how time has been flying by. The first week I ran some errands I had been putting off and frantically searched job sites. I had two interviews the week I was let go so I was sitting on the edge of my seat. Needless to say I received good news - I have a job again! It has always been my dream to work at Balboa Park and now I do. I am extremely excited for the next adventure in my life. Where does the time go? Saturday, May 31, 2014. Writing for your blog.

The Musings of Laura Marieee
The Musings of Laura Marieee. The power of Twitter. Posted by Laura Allard. In Laura Marieee's Musings. Asymp; 1 Comment. When I was a child my mum would say to me “Don’t talk to strangers”. I remember thinking how important it was to be wary of people you didn’t know. I suppose when you think about it, anyone can follow and talk to you on Twitter, but in the real world, you probably wouldn’t stop and talk to someone you didn’t know from Adam, so it makes sense why my mum was concerned. 1) Tweet. It ...
