The Musings of Kristen Nicole

On May 12th, I was let go from my job. It's amazing how time has been flying by. The first week I ran some errands I had been putting off and frantically searched job sites. I had two interviews the week I was let go so I was sitting on the edge of my seat. Needless to say I received good news - I have a job again! It has always been my dream to work at Balboa Park and now I do. I am extremely excited for the next adventure in my life. Where does the time go? Saturday, May 31, 2014. Writing for your blog.

The Musings of Kristen Nicole: To Link or Not to Link

http://themusingsofkristennicole.blogspot.com/2013/08/to-link-or-not-to-link.html

To Link or Not to Link. After finishing the last few chapters of “ Linked: How Everything is Connected to Everything Elseand What it Means for Business, Science, and Everyday Life. 8221; by Albert-Laszlo Barabasi. My brain is tired. Sometimes the concept of blogging seems simple, right? Create a blog with a relevant topic, take pictures. Post blogs, comment on other blogs, and bam! Only, it never really happens that way. There are so many pieces to this blogging puzzle. By linking, we are creating a netw...

The Musings of Kristen Nicole: July 2012

http://themusingsofkristennicole.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

This week I started a "0 to 5k" training program. Running has never been my "thing." It's always been difficult for me. I didn't really understand how to pace my breathing and I always felt heavy running. However, the app, 5k Runner. I downloaded has been super helpful to me. In fact, I've been kind of bad cause I've used it on days that weren't my "training" days. Today I did a walk/run with my dog Junior and I almost ran the whole first 5 minutes of warm-up. I was so proud of myself. When I was young.

The Musings of Kristen Nicole: Connecting Bloggers

http://themusingsofkristennicole.blogspot.com/2013/07/connecting-bloggers.html

This week I was asked to read, “ Linked: How Everything is Connected to Everything Else and What it Means for Business, Science, and Everyday Life. 8221; by Albert-Laszlo Barabasi. And at first, the concepts were difficult for me to wrap my head around. Albert-Laszlo discusses the importance of “connections” and how these connections began as mathematical theories which let's face it, I'm terrible at math! Where you can find other fashion bloggers, learn about meet ups, and gain some fashion blogging kno...

Practical Fitness for Life | Reader Inspired

Practical Fitness for Life. March 18, 2013. Hauling bails of hay, sacks of grain, and wheelbarrows full of dirt isn’t easy. It’s a tough workout that can be a humbling experience for anyone let alone a little kid. That’s how Michael Martin got his start in fitness. Now his passion is for helping others achieve (and exceed) their fitness goals in a practical way. You have to literally lift the calf up, throw it down, and then tie [at least] three of its legs together, he said in a matter-of-fact way. ...

themusingsofkathryn | An excuse to write, hoping others will read.

An excuse to write, hoping others will read. July 7, 2015. Where has the care gone? Perhaps if we started living like Jesus did, that would change. Perhaps instead of pointing fingers and throwing the Bible at people, we should read it first. Maybe we should read verses like 1 Corinthians 5:12 which states, “What business is it of mine [Paul] to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:...

The Musings of Laura Marieee. The power of Twitter. Posted by Laura Allard. In Laura Marieee's Musings. Asymp; 1 Comment. When I was a child my mum would say to me “Don’t talk to strangers”. I remember thinking how important it was to be wary of people you didn’t know. I suppose when you think about it, anyone can follow and talk to you on Twitter, but in the real world, you probably wouldn’t stop and talk to someone you didn’t know from Adam, so it makes sense why my mum was concerned. 1) Tweet.
