Sometimes, things just don't go to plan. Lately, I've not had much luck with my quick lunchtime rides. I hadn't even really planned to go riding today (Oskar usually gets Mondays off after a full weekend), but circumstances conspired. The horses were already all sorted, the weather played nicer than forecast, and I won't have time for a ride tomorrow. So, let's do the quick bareback round across the road. Surely, we won't be chased by deer again? With orange gravel and sand! Empty gravel flats to the left.

Oskar has a strop. Oskar's day is usually quite predictable. At around 5:15 every afternoon, Oskar moseys on up to the gate to await his saviour. This is the first person to arrive at the field and take off his horrible Hannibal Lecter mask. It just makes lawn care so much more work! Especially at this time of the year when the grass is growing like crazy. This liberation is then quickly followed by a bucket of food (yum! All 15 yards to the corner of the field).
