The Poetic Orchard | A garden of expression, grown among the stones of the Brooklyn streets
A garden of expression, grown among the stones of the Brooklyn streets. Worlds Away (Carnarsie Beach). September 14, 2013. A grey day,. A fall from the sky day. Watched by the eyes of those. Who would burn us while sleeping,. Our blue sky of freedom. 88th street is broad. And ordianry, in daylight. But on midsummer’s evenings. And touches the stars. A hooded young man crouches. And watches me passing. I long for my city. And my dreams of this city. I came full of hope. But its flame could. To get richer,.

The Poetic Paradox | Beautiful words, ugly world.
Beautiful words, ugly world. The Perhaps of Freedom. September 21, 2014. Birds in cages seldom know. What their wings can do. And those who drift among the lies. Can not tell what’s true. Perhaps the freedom that we prize. Is captivity as a whole. Or perhaps this freedom we desire. Is but an impossible goal. Perhaps the human condition. Has twisted what it means. To be free, to be self-governed. With none to intervene. Perhaps freedom should not. Determine just how free we are. To hang among the stars.

June 14, 2009. Im going to see some friends from out of state. The very trip that you were supposed to take a while. But it fell through. Like all of you. Like all of you. Thought id make the drive but a free plane ride is in. And just like that my fear of it disappeared. Like all of you. Like all of you. And i look high and low for yesterday. High and low for you and i. Once i can see straight i might move somewhere cold. Seattle or the bay area; to see your ghost. Whats left of you. Whats left of you.

sustaining myself with poetry | musings on life
Sustaining myself with poetry. March 23, 2015. Fifteen definitions of my favorite curse word. I hate everyone. i can’t hate anyone. i miss him. and him. and her. why does everyone leave. is it because i push them away? Is it because they get sick of me? I need to stop feeling sorry for myself. I need to do a load of laundry. This coffee has gone cold. my mouth now tastes like puke. My cat just jumped on my stomach and started to knead and her claws are really really sharp. I really miss you. DREAM ONE MO...

Discussing affairs of the arab maghreb and beyond. How the Tunisian Electoral Authority Robbed Me of the Right to Vote. November 13, 2014. Chafik Sarsar, the head of the Tunisian electoral authority (ISIE). Alright. Since I would be visiting The Hague, Netherlands, during the presidential elections (21-23 November), I decided to change my voting location to that office. A Poem Every Day, For Everyday People. Monday, June 11, 2007. Some treasures from my recent reading. Excerpt: one poem from a series]. Below the knee and rises higher than the raised hand. Wittgenstein, determined to find. The window's perfect proportion, decided on ten to one,. But like a coastline,. A window is infinite, its perimeter. Increasing forever without ever surpassing its frame. Has everything to do with sight as exceeding. For centuries. For centuries thought light. Had everything to do.

Welcome to my personal poetry and opinion blog. Everything here is my own. Updates will likely be more frequent at first as I slowly get older pieces off my chest. I will try to do at least one opinion a week, and if there is any traffic I’ll start throwing in more researched articles as well. This is just a short excerpt for the about page. Read more Manipulated Thoughts. Read more Shaking Gates. When frame is wrecked upon the floor, The weight makes beauty bleak and sore, To tear my tounge out through ...
