The Pragmatic Fast-er

Thursday, 21 March 2013. March 2013 - Where did 2012 go? It's been a very long time since my last post, due to a variety of issues that I won't bore you with :). This is slightly skewed because I started my fasting cycle in Feb(12) and finished it in Feb(13) but I'm calling this the 2012 results. I successfully completed a year of weekly fasting. I fasted every week for at least 40 hours and sometimes substantially more. My longest fast of the year was 108 hours. My interests have always been beyond just...

The Pragmatic Fast-er: Alternate Daily Fasting - Week 1

http://www.thepragmaticfaster.blogspot.com/2012/10/alternate-daily-fasting-week-1.html

Monday, 8 October 2012. Alternate Daily Fasting - Week 1. As I mentioned in the previous post I have decided to try Alternate Daily Fasting (see previous post for all the gory details), as part of this experiment I will post a weekly review discussing my experiences and the results. Week 1 Weight loss. I record my weight every day but use my weight on a Saturday morning as the measure for week to week comparisons. After seeing that I still lost weight even after an excessive week I am interested to see w...

The Pragmatic Fast-er: Fasting - What's stopping you?

http://www.thepragmaticfaster.blogspot.com/2012/09/fasting-whats-stopping-you.html

Wednesday, 19 September 2012. Fasting - What's stopping you? Fasting seems to be getting a lot of press at the minute, some good and some bad. As the debate continues you may be hesitant to get started not knowing whether you should, or if its really worth it. Here are some things to consider:. When you are sick you stop wanting to eat. If you don't like it or don't get on with it - eat! Fasting is one of those things that can be started and stopped at virtually any time, don't let the fear of a long fas...

The Pragmatic Fast-er: November 2012

http://www.thepragmaticfaster.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

Thursday, 15 November 2012. Alternate Daily Fasting - Status Update. It's been a while since my last post during which I have been experimenting with the ADF regime, I have found that for me a Feast/Fast paradigm doesn't work, or at least isn't working for me right now. This realisation left me feeling a little torn, I like the concept and the framework for extending my fasting but found that for me the strength of this method for some was the source of the problem for me. All sounds great doesn't it?

The Pragmatic Economist

Pint-sized economic thoughts for a quart-sized lifestyle. Sunday, April 18, 2010. Long time no see blog world. I've been really busy for the past.6 months.but I thought I'd share a nice little recipe I cooked earlier today. 1 large white onion. 8 ounces frozen peas. 12 ounces (3 large handfuls) shredded cheddar cheese. 1 pound ground beef. 1 cup beef stock. A few garlic cloves. Finely, you will add this to the potatoes later. Mince the garlic and place aside with the finely chopped onion and butter.

Friday, August 7, 2009. 25 questions that were posed to me. 25 questions that were posed to me. 1 I can often see a photo opportunity in damn near everything. 2 One of the best influences to ever enter my life was, and is, Buddhism. 3 Apparently I have a deviated septum, according to a physician I saw. He failed to convince me to have that god-awful nasal surgery, tho. Frig it, I'll snore, thanks. 4 I am missing an appendix and 2 wisdom teeth. They were removed for good reasons! 10 I love Pixar movies.

The Pragmatician

An agile project and team manager converting the corporate world, using the Agile Manifesto as the new 10 commandments ;-). Woensdag 29 juni 2011. Lean, Scrum and PMI go hand in hand. At least for me personally. This week I got feedback on my proposals for both the leankanban2011 event and the PMI Benelux day! They both accepted my talks. So on Saturday, 1/10/2011, I'll be presenting my case on 'challenges of introducing Scrum in corporate environments' on the PMI Benelux day. Jan Van den Nieuwenhof.

The Pragmatic Kitchen | Cooking is too much fun to just follow orders

Cooking is too much fun to just follow orders. Fresh ramsons – and plenty of them. April 14, 2011. Filed under: Fast and Easy. 8212; signelyng @ 8:11 pm. For a mellower taste, steam or stir fry the ramsons. Once cooked or wilted, the leaves lose their pungency and turn sweeter and more grassy. You can use them instead of or mixed with spinach leaves, and they are great in wok dishes etc. And then there’s this excellent pasta dish:. Pasta (such as penne). 1 tbsp olive oil. 1 onion, chopped. A Week of Soups.
