VEGAN COHABITAT: May 2010
http://vegancohabitat.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
May 28, 2010. Fried Tofu and Coconut Rum Ice Cream. The other night, I made some okay fried tofu strips to put in some soba (more on that later). As you can see, the breading wasn't very thick. I'm hoping to improve this with some panko and a different breading technique (this time I just dreded the unpressed tofu in a mix of spices and nutritional yeast.tasty but not quite what I was going for). I want some super crusty goodness! The bigger success was the coconut rum ice cream! Coconut Rum Ice Cream.

VEGAN COHABITAT: March 2010
http://vegancohabitat.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
March 30, 2010. Peanut Butter Cookie mix from The Cravings Place. My parents recently sent a box of goodies from Oregon, including a couple mysterious "baking mixes" from The Cravings Place. A gluten free, wheat free, egg free, and dairy free company in Bend, Oregon. I don't have any allergies or intolerances, and I usually bake from scratch, but I thought it was nice to be able to sample new vegan products. I also made a few with blackberry jam, and a few that I lazily did not press with a fork:. Does a...

VEGAN COHABITAT: Banana muffins, sunflower seed and walnut variations
http://vegancohabitat.blogspot.com/2011/01/banana-muffins-sunflower-seed-and.html
January 22, 2011. Banana muffins, sunflower seed and walnut variations. It has been unseasonably warm here. A banana bunch ripens faster than two people can eat them. Walnuts are the traditional banana bread companion, but I had only enough to cover half of the muffins. So, the rest were decorated with sunflower seeds. January 22, 2011 at 1:46 PM. These are the prettiest muffins I have ever seen. Your blog is cute! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe To Vegan Cohabitat. For the Love of Guava.

VEGAN COHABITAT: November 2010
http://vegancohabitat.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
November 30, 2010. Vegan MoFo: What the snot is this. It's not a pacman. It's buffalo mostarella uncheese from The Uncheese Cookbook. I really wanted a cheeselike substance for a sandwich and didn't want to spend $5 on a tiny block of vegan cheese, so I found a recipe that didn't require agar and had at it. Do you make your own vegan "cheese" substances? What are your favorites? If you aren't a lifelong vegan, do you even miss cheese? PS Good bye, Vegan MoFo, see you next year! Vegan month of food. VEGAN COHABITAT: September 2010
http://vegancohabitat.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
September 16, 2010. I mentioned before that the boy and I went to Oregon in August. You can tell we're almost in Oregon. It's Mt Ashland, fringed in green. In the Tillamook forest. My parents' stylish cat:. And for the food content, apple picking! Dappled red and green gravenstein apples! We could pick them right off the branch for 85 cents a pound - not bad! Although tart, they were flavorful. They made a fantastic pie. September 14, 2010. What do you do to normalize things with your family? 2 T nutriti...

Love like a vegan. It has been hmm…quite some time since I have posted last! I’m a bit at a loss as to what to do with this ol’ blog. I’ve contemplated starting fresh, creating a new blog or perhaps I should just keep posting away at this blog pretending as if I have not had an almost. Over 1 year hiatus. Discussions on various ethics? Pictures of cute puppies? I’m not sure, but I do know I’ve been itching to blog again so I think I will be back soon! 3 Responses to “oh heyy”. VEGAN VISITOR
https://veganvisitor.wordpress.com/2010/07/12/969
It's not about simulation, it's satisfaction. I was recently contacted and asked if I would take a look at this new book: Substituting Ingredients, by Becky Sue Epstein. To be honest, I wasn’t sure of the idea to first. I am a bit of a purist after all. However, I was convinced at the notion of the author’s section on homemade household cleaners. I mean, who can’t be without a reference like that? How would one sugar bake v.s. another? Or how could I make confectioners sugar in a pinch? I can definitely ...
