Sciencepoem | Poetry off the page

https://poetryoffthepage.wordpress.com/poetry-science

Poetry off the page. Ideas for unusual approaches to writing. A place for ideas and explorations. Poetry and science are very similar – maybe for some people, identical. Both explore the unknown, and need new languages to do it. Both, really, have small and specialist audiences. Both are trying to push back boundaries of understanding. Both (sometimes) claim the highest merits of human intellect. I’m not much of a scientist. But I find the intersection of science and poetry intensely stimulating. It take...

Poetry off the page. Ideas for unusual approaches to writing. A place for ideas and explorations. This blog isn’t about the death of the book, the paperless poetry coven or the e-(uni)-verse. Belongs on the page. I am an adorer of books, a lover of words, and nurse ill-concealed fetishes for crisp, new pages and sharpened pencils. My family has grown a library of several thousand books. I’m rarely without one. When my eyesight fades so far I can no longer read, I will be bereft. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Books are my life! 11:18 pm 21 April 2014. Landscape, the song for Tarryn Fisher's Mud Vein. If there’s one thing I love more than a book, that’s music. So, I love when authors give songs to their writing. I always spotlight when I find a mention of a song in the book I’m currently reading.
