The Ringenberg Family

Saturday, December 7, 2013. I am NOT an athlete by any stretch of the imagination. Except for the obligatory stint in gymnastics and dance as a preschooler, the swim lessons at the Y, and the ill-fated attempt at freshman track and field (do not ask me to throw a discus for you! I did not do sports as a kid. I was more of your music-type kid. First up: Grant. He was a VERY physical, aggressive soccer player. The Ringenberg Family: June 2013

http://www.theringenbergfamily.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Miss Elizabeth is now five months! We have had so much fun with her this month! It seems that each day she becomes more personable and enjoyable. The older kids still love her and fight over who can be closer to her or gain her attention. Caroline still loves to touch her hair, and Jack hits his forehead for some reason to make her smile. Grant loves to just snuggle up next to her and look at her while sucking his thumb. It is very sweet to see. Like she's going to crawl! I feel...

The Ringenberg Family: St. Louis Fun: Just hanging out

http://www.theringenbergfamily.blogspot.com/2013/10/st-louis-fun-just-hanging-out.html

Thursday, October 17, 2013. St Louis Fun: Just hanging out. We spent a little bit of time at Mimi and Papa's just hanging out. I love being at my parents' house even if all we do is stay home. Poor Grant was sick one of the days and laid on the couch all afternoon. Here are just some pictures of us laying low.. Jack LOVES making Elizabeth laugh- or squeal at an outrageous pitch and volume for a little baby! One more Elizabeth pic: she was smiling at her reflection in the window, which was adorable!

The Ringenberg Family: January 2013

http://www.theringenbergfamily.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Miss Elizabeth Grace Ringenberg is here! She was forced out because of Mama's health- apparently my body was DONE being pregnant! My BP had never been high, either with my other pregnancies or with this one! Of course- why would I get an uneventful end when this pregnancy has been so eventful? Can I just say I get the whole I-love-epidurals thing now? She just looked long! It was just so sweet to finally have her and hold her and see her. Recovery was not too bad, but I had t...

The Ringenberg Family: August 2013

http://www.theringenbergfamily.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 26, 2013. Elizabeth is on the move! I suppose I should add that she is doing the military crawl, but I consider that "moving." None of my kids crawled on their hands and knees until they'd military crawled for awhile.and even with military crawling they can get into things! Elizabeth is also doing better with sitting independently, but I don't leave her by herself. I will usually sit behind her or put the Boppy pillow around her back. Next to me- she loves helping, sometimes too much!

This Loved Life: August 2014

http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Harrison - 4 months. Harrison is somehow now 4 months old. I don't know how this is happening! I feel like he should still be such a little baby and I'm always surprised when we're out and about and I see newborns and do a double take, because they make him seem huge and old in comparison! I feel like he should still be the smallest but not anymore! He seems like such a big baby to me! He has become so much fun! He rolled over from back to front on Aug 1. He'd been trying ...

This Loved Life: November 2012

http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

Wednesday, November 7, 2012. I am kind of a cheeseball about this holiday. I love to see the little ones all dressed up in their costumes. I still remember the nervous anticipation of this holiday and the excitement at seeing everyone look so out-of-the-ordinary. It's fun to relive some of the feelings now as a parent. I know I have limited time left while I can still dress Barrett in cute costumes, before he wants to be superman or a transformer or some other total boy. Walking back to the car. This...

This Loved Life: October 2012

http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Goodbye high heels, Hello highchairs. Last May, my company announced its plans to relocate to Atlanta. I wrote then. So when the move was announced, I was thrown. Tim and I spent over a year in this strange limbo, where we weren't sure what to do. We wanted more space but didn't want to do anything more with the house until we knew what our plans were. We decided that moving for my job is not in the cards right now. But at what cost? I am incredibly nervous about this "new li...

Sunday, December 2, 2012. Audrey - 12 months. My Audrey. I knew I would love you but I had no idea how much you would hold my heart. You are my angel. You are one year now and I wish I could rewind time and live some of this last year over again. It has gone so fast and I already feel like timing is flying by with you faster than it did with your brother. Your personality is really starting to come out. You are a rascal! You love to head over to Payton's food and water bowls. Sometimes you just sit t...

Lilypie First Birthday tickers. Sunday, June 19, 2011. Daddy had a great weekend visiting some great friends! The Tinsley's came up from the Vern and stayed with the Burris's. Daddy got to have some fun times with his friends. He is such a great dad and really needed some time to spend with his good buddies. We met up with everyone at Ben and Arie's for some putt putt! Mommy did awful, but dada came in second place! We then headed over to Clay and Ashley's for a cook out and boy were those burgers yummy!

Monday, June 3, 2013. My Little Van Goghs. Lately I've been feeling like the Pied Piper of the 3 and Under set. Anywhere I go, I lead a parade. So if I need to buy myself a few minutes to get dinner ready, the latest trick I've found is coloring. One day I had to run out to the garage to grab something out of the refrigerator and left the kids in the kitchen coloring. I was gone approximately 60 seconds. This is what I came back to:. Purple marker makes good lipstick, apparently. Enjoying the Small Things.

This Loved Life: Harrison is Born!!!

http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2014/08/harrison-is-born.html

Sunday, August 10, 2014. On April 3, 2014, our littlest one Harrison Wesley was born at 4:02am! He weighed in at 7lbs, 15oz and was 21" long. We stopped to pick up lunch on the way, a turkey sandwich and Oreo smoothie from Potbellys, the same final meal actually I'd had the night before Barrett was born. At 4:02am on Thursday, April 3, Harrison Wesley was lifted from me. We hadn't known the sex, so Tim looked over the curtain, his mouth dropped open and he announced it was a boy! I was still in such a st...

This Loved Life: September 2012

http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 27, 2012. Another whirlwind week come and gone. I seriously stopped in my tracks this morning at the realization that it was already the end of September. Crazy! Our lives have been even more hectic than usual lately it seems. Last Monday: appointment with Audrey's ENT to have her tubes checked. All is good. Last Tuesday: appointment with all 4 of the therapists that evaluated Audrey and the coordinator and discussion of the next steps. And Sweet Potato and Black Bean Chili. So easy a...

This Loved Life: Life with 3 - the first month

http://thislovedlife.blogspot.com/2014/08/life-with-3-first-month.html

Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Life with 3 - the first month. The first few weeks home, the kids begged to hold Harrison every morning. They couldn't wait to see him and begged to hold him. The first morning he was home was no exception. Barrett holding his new baby brother. Audrey holding her new baby brother.. And we refereed regular arguing over who got to hold him first and most. Barrett was obviously pouting over not being able to hold him at the current moment.. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Friday, September 21, 2012. We were so excited to tell Jade and Julia about their baby brother or sister! Friday, May 11, 2012. We took Julia on our trip to San Diego this year. She had a great time and we had so much fun! Ultimately we determined San Diego wasn't our destination for next year but we still scouted and tried out some of the fun things to do in SD! Legoland, the seals at LaJolla, and a really great resort to stay at! Thursday, March 1, 2012. Might be the only one in 2012!

Monkey'n Around :)

Friday, March 6, 2009. Today is our 4 year wedding anniversary. Hard to believe that time flies so fast when you're having fun. Blow is the song Brett and I shared our first dance to, Keeper of the Stars by Tracy Byrd. It was no accident me finding you. Someone had a hand in it. Long before we ever knew. Now I just can't believe you're in my life. Heaven's smilin' down on me. As I look at you tonight. I tip my hat to the keeper of the stars. He sure knew what he was doin'. When he joined these two hearts.

The Ringer Files

Visiting that cool stuff from the odd corners of popular culture's offerings. Monday, January 2, 2017. High Lawless - T.V. Olsen. I got more familiar with the genre thanks in part to the terrific blog Pulp Serenade. I went off to the used bookstores with a nice helpful list of writers and books to look for. I found a double novel paperback of T.V. Olsen, including this novel, High Lawless, from 1960. Saturday, December 31, 2016. Savage Night - Jim Thompson. That was the week that Jake tried to frame me.
