FDI: Is it impossible for the urban Indian to take a stance? FDI: Is it impossible for the urban Indian to take a stance? So, there’s someone beside you who revers the FDI so much that you wonder if he owns a sizeable share in the Wal-Mart. And, then again, there is someone you know who. The Congress, insists that FDI in retail would grant the people of India 10 million jobs. Isn’t the projected loss in rural jobs a tall price to pay for the benefits a foreign company. China has been doing decently well,...

Israel and Iran : The threat of a nuclear war looms. The neighbours of the country have been in constant fear ever since Ariel Sharon instructed Israel’s defence troops to blow up Uranium enrichment sites in Iran. Iran, too, has made no bones of stating how much it despises the ‘Zionist-regime’ with anti-Israel talks emanating from President Ahmadinajad. President Ahmadinejad during a speech he gave in Tehran. Street-shopping Vs Mall-culture in India. Why passing the UNHRC resolution was a mistake | Lavanya Menon
https://wandofanillusionist.wordpress.com/2012/08/03/why-passing-the-unhrc-resolution-was-a-mistake
Why passing the UNHRC resolution was a mistake. The curtains went up. India donned its cloak, enacted the predicament of a true democracy and passed a resolution against Sri Lanka ostensibly encroaching its sovereignty. When the curtains went down, amongst the stagnating applause of the unsuspecting crowd, Sri Lanka picked a blade of its severed chest. China saw. The superficial concern extended towards the Tamils in Lanka will do but little good, and throwing away India’s security is a huge price to pay.
