Those of you who have been following my efforts to make gnocchi know that my last attempt at reaching gnocchi nirvana. Was more like gnocchi meets scrambled eggs. Not that I don't like something that resembles a cheese omelette but not exactly what I had in mind. So, here we go again, this time with pictures to document the attempt. April 12, 2009. I’m never going to make garlic potato fries any other way. These garlic fries, win hands down as the best garlic french fries I’ve ever. Made Plus they are baked so I won’t feel too guilty if I make it every time I’m craving for some potato comfort. I also used more garlic to make my fries extra garlicky! Crispy golden baked fries. Hate: it is a scavenger, so God only knows what it eats. Hate: when I was growing up and my aunts were having fun playing cards and drinking frothy mixed beverages, I got to stand alone in the kitchen, "de-veining" pounds of shrimp to prep for the jambalaya. To tell you a secret, nights alone can be more fun than the alternative.

The dutch pancake: ridiculously easy, fast and goooood, oh so good. this is the kind of food you don't mess around with. no frills. . It was decided last weekend that two kittens would be really nice to have around the cabin. the search began, cruising petfinder.com for a potential addition. the evening progressed and two kittens were selected from the pet project rescue www.pet-project.org, an application was submitted and approval was given. . The kittens will join us september 27th. .
