July 30, 2015. July 30, 2015. Last weekend we had to take our daughter for an assessment in Surrey and involved lots of spare time . I finished my dot shawl😄. When I got home I cast off but was a little disappointed in trying it round my shoulders, particularly after slot of work (dots! I know blocking really does make a difference, but boy it really does. So here it is blocking the lazy way over the garden bench, works fine for me. I have tried it on and now love it , it’s much more a garment😄😍.

I had the back done and about a third of the front. I didn’t like the actual pattern so I made up a lace one for the front which I really like. June 29, 2015. June 29, 2015. Early In The spring I decided to make vegetable plot. I moved some raised beds from a wrong place and popped them in a spare part of the garden. I’m quite pleased how the crop is coming in, I’ve got beetroot, carrots peas , beans and courgettes. I sat On The chair knitting on sunday ,while I somehow had persuaded my husband to pick the blackurrants before the birds did😳. Don’t you just love where inspiration comes from? Italian view and new chickens. August 11, 2015. I’ve just spent a few days at my sisters in Italy just south of Rome in the mountains and it was nice and hot 40 degrees😃. This was one view. And these were the others! It was so nice to just sit on the balcony and chill. However, I didn’t do much knitting ,but did start another sock. After a long journey back and lots of washing I feel quite relaxed. So this morning we went to pick up our new chickens and here they are. Lovely aren’t they?
