Harvest to Holidays | Becca's Garden
https://beccasbloominblog.wordpress.com/2013/11/07/harvest-to-holidays
My garden: themes, adventures, work and analogies. Savoring the memories of having the boys here, I switched my focus the best I could and began to scurry around to accomplish something “harvest-y”. Without my big garden, I had to get at least a smidgen of something “put by” just to feel that I had redeemed the time! No matter; it was time for the holidays. First we had a family wedding in November, which brought a short but timely visit from Angie and Delaney. It was a long weekend that turned short...

One Last “Memory Past” | Becca's Garden
https://beccasbloominblog.wordpress.com/2013/04/10/one-last-memory-past
My garden: themes, adventures, work and analogies. One Last “Memory Past”. About to begin a journey of his own. He would fill the house with music, and I would drink in every note. All garden work and home projects would be put on hold in order to take full advantage of the “gifts” at hand! No scratching about in weed patches; only watering, and watching things grow hoping they would thrive–or stay alive–without much help. Help Around the Place. While The Rooster and his “gamecocks” strutted ...Crowing, ...

Light in the Storm | Becca's Garden
https://beccasbloominblog.wordpress.com/2013/11/07/light-in-the-storm
My garden: themes, adventures, work and analogies. Light in the Storm. A Light in the Storm. That same Light of Truth that shone on every faltering step we took; and guess what we feel deep down inside? That same calming, comforting Peace of God that settled our souls after every terrifying episode; and you probably guessed already what we see in the future…that same HOPE that never once let us down. Just like opening a dresser drawer in a spare room to find a lost treasure that brings sheer delight, so ...

Sweet, Whizzing Summer | Becca's Garden
https://beccasbloominblog.wordpress.com/2013/01/08/sweet-whizzing-summer
My garden: themes, adventures, work and analogies. Sweet, Whizzing Summer. 8230;and “neglect them” I did! Not intentionally, of course; I was just out of time before I hardly got going. After finishing the deck-painting project, I was at least able to finish my deck pots and plant a beautiful new clematis at the base of each newly painted deck post. That was a good feeling. 8220;Not bad,” I clucked to myself as I studied the new look of the gorgeous climbers against the tidy, white posts. You are comment...

Spring Rushes In | Becca's Garden
https://beccasbloominblog.wordpress.com/2012/06/29/spring-rushes-in
My garden: themes, adventures, work and analogies. Harriet, the squirrel, stopped to stare as I clicked away with my camera from the Master Bath window. “You again…” I knew she was thinking; “Don’t you have anything else to do? 8221; Her bustling always fascinates me: from the maple tree in the side yard (where she perches in this photo) to the old, tall pines out front, and back again; and again and again! And I knew what was waiting for me at home…. So after a couple days of weeding, raking, and Preeni...

WeBeFamily1 | Becca's Garden
https://beccasbloominblog.wordpress.com/author/watchwoman1b
My garden: themes, adventures, work and analogies. It’s Still Pretty Dark Out Here…. Dark Night Moon Light. Allegorically, however, I see the Moon–God’s Light in the Sky–and because I know His strong presence always surrounds us, I am not afraid of this “darkness” I only wonder. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I am in Limbo…. Like this beauty of a 60th birthday cake The Rooster scratched up for me last year! Maybe I’m waiting for…a Glory Cloud! Woffee is a Great Start | Becca's Garden
https://beccasbloominblog.wordpress.com/2014/01/14/woffee-is-a-great-start
My garden: themes, adventures, work and analogies. Woffee is a Great Start. I’m doing “woffee” with a good friend or two in the morning. That’s where you meet for coffee and then go for a nice brisk walk! Woffee is wonderful. Especially in the winter so we can warm our bones a bit before striking out! Myriads of thoughts and plans will be crowding the minds of jillions of women just like me this month: Should I clean out my closet? De-clutter the entire house? Or just put it on the market and sell it?

Wow…Life Has a Way of… | Becca's Garden
https://beccasbloominblog.wordpress.com/2015/08/14/wow-life-has-a-way-of
My garden: themes, adventures, work and analogies. Wow…Life Has a Way of…. Well, here goes. I just have to do something different for awhile. I’m not quitting my Garden Blog because Life is a Garden no matter how–or where–you live it. I’m a gardener and I will ALWAYS write about SOME sort of gardening. It’s just been a long time and I can’t really explain why! Sun Sets on Meadowlark. Time to Move On. And some of those days I secretly wished I could be Aspen’s cat: sitting snugly in my plain, calm, ...

July is for JOY | Becca's Garden
https://beccasbloominblog.wordpress.com/2011/10/27/july-is-for-joy
My garden: themes, adventures, work and analogies. July is for JOY. The early summer rainfall was great for the water supply and gardeners who braved the wind and stormy weather and got their plants in the ground in June; the problem was that I was not one of those! So by the time the weather welcomed me to the backyard, there were more weeds than anything else! My mom loves the wild poppies that sprout like a carpet in my gardens. They were here to STAY! When your life is busy, a garden is like a cupboa...
