Wood Works: February 2013
http://ryananderinwood.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 14, 2013. Enough about me, onto Tate and his amazing Pirate Birthday! Tate had his first birthday party with friends this year and it was quite a party. He chose a pirate theme (with a little prompting from me- there are pirate party supplies everywhere! He invited over his friends from preschool and a couple others from the neighborhood. When the crew arrived, they had different tasks to complete to earn their pirate gear and become real pirates. After playing hard, it was time for a ...

Saru mo ki kara ochiru: Decorations at Disney World
http://sarumokitaraochiru.blogspot.com/2012/12/decorations-at-disney-world.html
Saru mo ki kara ochiru. Wednesday, December 26, 2012. Decorations at Disney World. We went around looking at some holiday decorations at some of the hotels. Everything was very festive. Here we are at Shades of Green:. There was also a festive wreath display where each department of the hotel decorated a wreath and we had to vote for our favorite. Next we went to the Wilderness Lodge. I have never been here before and it was pretty neat. There was a handbell choir performing and everything.

Saru mo ki kara ochiru: WDW Babycakes
http://sarumokitaraochiru.blogspot.com/2012/10/wdw-babycakes.html
Saru mo ki kara ochiru. Monday, October 1, 2012. In the heart of Downtown Disney is a small bakery called BabyCakes. Pretty much free of all allergens, I stopped there a few times for some tasty treats. Among the cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, cookies, doughnuts, and other deliciousness, I think my favorite was the cookie sandwich. Two cookies with a schmear of frosting in the middle. YUMMMM! Wood Works: May 2013
http://ryananderinwood.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 12, 2013. On our second day in Seattle we went to the Pacific Science Center. I had previously volunteered at Grant's school for an assembly organized by the science center and so they gave us some free passes. It definitely doesn't compare with COSI in Columbus, but it was fun and you can't beat free passes! My little scientist was pretty good at using the butterfly guide to name the ones he saw. The kid does enjoy learning and on certain subjects he knows more random facts than I do. Exciti...

Wood Works: December 2012
http://ryananderinwood.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 30, 2012. Getting in the Christmas spirit. This December was the first in our marriage where we stayed put and did not visit family. We had plans of seeing some of the closer relatives, but with sickness and work schedules, that wasn't able to happen. Knowing that we would be "alone" for the Christmas season, I tried to plan ahead and make sure we had many fun things to do to help make the season merry and bright. Doesn't Tate come home from preschool with the cutest things? We enjoyed g...

Wood Works: January 2013
http://ryananderinwood.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 20, 2013. When we got back home, the kids got cozy in their new Christmas PJ's and we enjoyed some hot cocoa before sending the little ones off to bed. Poor Luke had been sick and had quite a sore bum Christmas morning. He took about 20 minutes until he had calmed down and was ready to enjoy the presents. He must have filled his diaper early in the morning and then gone back to sleep, because his little bum was quite raw! Possibly the juiciest turkey we have ever had! It has been the best...

http://ryananderinwood.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 7, 2013. For Easter this year we headed down to La Grande to spend time with Christine and the family. It was just a quick weekend trip but a lot of fun. The weather was surprisingly beautiful and we all enjoyed feeling like spring had sprung. On Saturday, we filled the backyard with candy and plastic eggs and the kids filled their baskets with the goodies. Thanks Kimballs for letting us trash your house and have an entertaining weekend! Ryan received several books and a 5-disk DVD set enti...
