It sort of takes you back to this era of life that is soon fading. The war will not fade, but the domestic part of it may. Wives had to be very creative during the depression to make food tasty with what they had. 8 oz self-rising flour or plain flour with 4 teaspoons baking powder. Milk or milk and water to mix.
